Healthy hair is important especially if you like wearing wigs, weaves, and other protective styles.
Nowadays you find more stylists are requiring you to wash your hair prior to receiving certain services (depending on where you go).
It is imperative to know how to prep your hair before getting a wig install/weave install to keep your hair moisturized underneath.
🔑 #1- Prepoo with a moisturizing conditioner and/or oil. I like to use Giovanni 2 chic avocado and Olive Oil Ultra-Moist conditioner or Aussie 3-minute conditioner followed by coconut oil or olive oil and honey.
🔑 #2- Moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner. I use Giovanni 2chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Shampoo and As I Am Long & Luxe Conditioner with a heating cap for a deep conditioning treatment.
🔑 #3 - I prefer to use no heat stretch styles like buns, twists, and braids to minimize the amount of heat used. If pressed for time, use a heat protectant before blow drying. Tresemme heat tamer is my favorite. (I’ve tried quite a few).
I decided to do something new. Came a long way on styling these wig edges 😅 This was by far my fave look for the workweek!

30 inchessssss!!!!! This is a 4x4 closure wig custom colored and installed by me.
I’m kinda feeling closure wigs, easy to install. I’ve worn this wig plenty of times working out and it still looks good.

Here’s the finished look on the pastel rainbow wig I created.
Install is by me. Still learning how to do some dramatic edges 😅

I toned a #613 frontal wig to bring it to a white blonde but I ended up creating something different. It’s a pale blonde in the front an a whitish silver in the back.
Stay tuned I still have to cut and color!
Products used:
613 frontal lace wig 26”
Toner: wella T18 & T10 w 30 vol developer ( I forgot to pick one up so I used what I had at home) Processing time: 15 mins
