Hi everyone! Today marks one year since we opened our doors.

I’m Cynthia, owner of Golden Lotus. I started doing nails right after high school. Truthfully, not out of passion at first, but because I was ready to step into the working world. Thirteen years later, here we are!

A question I get asked a lot is why I decided to open my own salon. The answer is simple: I wanted to break away from toxic work environments, endless unpredictable hours, and the burn-out culture. Even though I didn’t feel 100% ready when I took the leap, my years in the industry taught me exactly what to do and what not to do.

I wanted to create a supportive space for my nail techs to thrive, and a clean, high quality salon for my clients where you never feel rushed. If you’re one of my regulars, you know I pay attention to details and I won’t let you leave my station until every detail is right! 😄

You might also notice that we close on every holidays. Having worked every weekend and holiday under other people for years, I realized how important balance is. Life is too short to spend every waking moment at work, and my team and I deserve time with our loved ones, too.

I feel so blessed to have an amazing team and such wonderful clients. Thank you all for your love, support, and trust throughout this past year. Golden Lotus wouldn’t be what it is today without each and every one of you.
