Before is not my work
This beauty came in with roots and significant color banding. This time she only wanted a root touchup and haircut.
She expressed that she did not like the darker color and wanted to stick more to her natural color and just cover the greys.
I color matched her and was able to blend out the top band. However with the other band being darker, color does not lift color.
We decided we would work some of that dark out at her next blonding appointment.

✨ FRIDAY FAVORITES — 3 things I’m loving right now 🥰
No hair products this week — just three little everyday favorites that I keep reaching for. 🤍
🫧 Salt & Stone Santal & Vetiver Body Wash
The scent is SO good. Warm, woody and luxurious — it makes an everyday shower feel a little more like self-care.
🤍 La Roche-Posay Lipikar Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream
I love a good moisturizer, and this one has been a favorite for keeping my skin feeling hydrated and comfortable.
🌸 Bloom Energy Drinks
Because sometimes we need a little ✨energy✨ to get through the day. 😂 These have definitely made their way into my current rotation!
Just a few of my current favorites — beauty, body care & a little caffeine. 💕
Have you tried any of these? And tell me what YOU’RE loving right now because I’m always looking for something new to try! 👀

No before 🤦🏼♀️
She had a few balayage pieces but wanted more, so we did just that. We also added face framing pieces. 😍🫶🏼

✂️ THURSDAY HAIR MYTH vs. FACT
Trying to grow your hair out? Skipping trims completely might not be helping as much as you think! 👀
Trimming your hair doesn’t actually make it grow faster—growth happens at the scalp. But regular trims help remove split, fragile ends before they continue to break up the hair shaft.
And when we prevent breakage, we’re able to retain more of the length you’re already growing. ✨
You don’t have to take off inches every time, either! Sometimes a little dusting is all those ends need. 🤍
Healthy ends = less breakage = longer, fuller-looking hair.
When was your last trim? ✂️

As summer starts winding down, it’s easy to forget just how important hydration still is. 💧
Staying hydrated helps support healthy skin, scalp, and hair from the inside out — and it’s one of the simplest things we can do for ourselves.
And if you’re someone who struggles to drink plain water, it doesn’t have to be boring! Add a flavor packet, fresh fruit, or even an electrolyte packet occasionally to make it a little easier to get those fluids in. 🍋✨
Your hair and skin care routines matter, but don’t forget to take care of what’s happening on the inside too. 🤍

Blonde highlight refresh! I forgot the before and barely remembered the after! We also cut off about 3 inches and added bangs. 🖤

✨ TUESDAY TIP ✨
Detangle BEFORE you rinse your conditioner. 🫧
One little thing I do at the shampoo bowl that makes a BIG difference…
While the conditioner is still on the hair, I gently finger-detangle, starting at the ends and working my way up. If needed, I’ll use a Wet Brush for a little extra help.
The conditioner gives the hair that extra slip, allowing tangles to release more gently and making the final brush-out so much easier.
✨ Start at the ends
✨ Work your way up
✨ Use your fingers first
✨ Never force through a tangle
It’s such a simple step, but especially helpful for long, blonde, lightened or tangle-prone hair.
Less tugging + easier brush-outs = happier hair. 🤍

☀️ Monday Maintenance:
Does your hair have a summer hangover?
By the end of summer, our hair has usually been through A LOT—sun, swimming, sweat, messy buns, vacations, dry shampoo and plenty of heat. 😂
If your hair is suddenly feeling dry, dull, tangled, coated or your blonde just isn’t looking as bright as it did earlier this summer, it may be time for a little end-of-summer reset. ✨
And sometimes your regular shampoo and conditioner just aren’t enough to remove everything summer leaves behind.
One of my favorite ways to reset summer hair in the salon is a Malibu Swimmers treatment to help remove chlorine and mineral buildup, followed by a fresh gloss and deep conditioning treatment to bring back that beautiful tone, softness and shine. 🫧🤎
Add in a little trim for those dry summer ends and your hair is ready for a fresh start heading into fall. 🍂
Summer was fun… but your hair definitely has the receipts. 😂☀️
Anyone else feel like their hair could use a post-summer reset? 🙋🏼♀️

🌿 Sunday Reset
After a fun weekend with my best friend, today was all about getting back into the Sunday routine. 🤎
She headed back home, then it was family lunch, a little TJ Maxx shopping, grocery shopping for the week, and getting everything ready for Monday.
I love a good Sunday reset—not because everything has to be perfectly organized, but because doing a few little things today makes the start of my week feel so much smoother. ✨
Some Sundays are productive, some are slow, and some are a little bit of both. Either way, I always like ending the weekend feeling refreshed and ready for a new week. 🌿
What’s one thing you HAVE to get done on Sunday to feel ready for Monday? 🧺🛒☕️

Weekend Moments 🦋 | Best Friend Edition
My best friend came to visit from Austin this weekend, which meant one of my favorite kinds of Saturdays. 🤍
We started with porch coffee (of course ☕), did a little downtown shopping, started looking at all the fall things at Hobby Lobby 🍂, and finished it off with lunch at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. After all that fun we went swimming and relaxed the rest of the evening with snacks and drinks on the patio.
Nothing extravagant—just one of those really good days spent with your person. The older I get, the more I appreciate weekends like this. 🤍
What’s your perfect best-friend day? Shopping, lunch, coffee, staying home… or all of the above? 😂
