The hotel slippers became part of the photoshoot.

That was never supposed to happen.

We were shooting a luxury campaign in a five-star hotel, and the original concept had me wearing these ridiculous designer shoes.

Then the photographer saw me walking around barefoot between takes.

He stopped everything.

"Wait. Do that again."

Suddenly, the entire campaign changed.

Bare feet.

Silk robe.

Hotel floor.

No shoes at all.

The problem was that my feet hadn't exactly been prepared for a close-up.

I'd spent weeks touring, wearing sneakers for hours, and barely thinking about my toenails.

After that shoot, I started taking better care of them instead of only worrying about them before events. After about seven days, the skin around my toenails felt softer and my toenails looked cleaner and more maintained. If you're curious about what's become part of my routine, I left the details in the comments.

The expensive shoes never made the final campaign.

The hotel slippers didn't either.

Apparently, my bare feet were the luxury aesthetic.

My stylist took one look at me and cancelled the entire outfit.

Not because the clothes were bad.

Because they were doing too much.

I was supposed to wear a custom jacket, layered jewelry, sunglasses, and a pair of boots that looked like they belonged in a museum.

She stared at me for five seconds.

"Take half of it off."

I laughed.

She wasn't joking.

We removed the jewelry, switched the jacket, and kept the rest incredibly simple.

When I saw the final look, I understood.

The outfit finally looked expensive instead of desperate to look expensive.

That experience made me rethink my own routines too. I don't want ten products sitting on my bathroom counter just because they look impressive. I've been keeping things simple with Thunder Pore Refining Cleanser as my cleanser. After about seven days, my skin looked fresher and brighter, and my pores looked less noticeable under makeup and studio lighting. If you're curious about what's become part of my routine, I left the details in the comments.

Turns out, sometimes looking better starts with removing things.

The jewelry company called me three hours before the shoot.

They wanted their necklace back.

Immediately.

Apparently, another artist needed it for an event that night, and somehow nobody had realized our schedules overlapped.

The problem?

I was already wearing it.

My stylist was furious. The brand representative was apologizing every thirty seconds, and I was standing there in full makeup wondering why luxury jewelry apparently has a busier calendar than I do.

We eventually found another piece.

It wasn't nearly as expensive, but it actually worked better with the outfit.

The campaign went live two weeks later, and everyone kept asking about the "simple necklace."

Nobody cared about the original one.

That was a good reminder that expensive doesn't automatically mean better.

I've started thinking about my skincare the same way. I don't want a complicated routine just because it looks impressive. I use my acne serum consistently instead. After about eight days, my skin looked calmer and I felt more comfortable during close-up shoots. If you're curious about what's become part of my routine, I left the details in the comments.

The expensive necklace never made it into the final photos.

The "simple" one did.

The restaurant asked me to leave.

I had been sitting there for almost an hour when the manager quietly came over and said my table was causing a problem.

Apparently, people outside had started gathering because someone recognized me through the window.

I looked outside.

There were maybe twenty people.

Nobody was doing anything wrong, but the restaurant was getting uncomfortable.

So I left.

Instead of going somewhere fancy, my team ended up eating at a tiny place around the corner.

No cameras.

No private room.

No reservation.

Just really good food and six people arguing over what to order.

Honestly, it was better than the original dinner.

It reminded me that the most expensive option isn't automatically the best one. I've started keeping the everyday things simple too, especially my oral-care routine. I brush with a teeth whitening toothpaste morning and night. After about a week, I noticed my smile looked brighter and I felt more comfortable during close-up fan videos and photos. If you're curious about what's become part of my routine, I left the details in the comments.

The fancy restaurant asked me to leave.

The tiny restaurant gave me the better night.

My designer sent me home from a fitting.

Not because the clothes looked bad.

Because I was trying too hard.

I had arrived wearing every piece of jewelry I owned, a custom jacket, sunglasses, and boots that probably weighed more than my suitcase.

He looked at me and said, "Take it all off."

I laughed.

He didn't.

So I changed into a plain white shirt and jeans.

Then he started building the entire look from there.

By the end, I was wearing almost nothing compared to what I'd walked in with.

And somehow, it looked better.

That day taught me something about fashion that took me years to understand: sometimes the strongest look is the one where you don't have to prove anything.

I've started applying that idea to my everyday routine too. My oral care is intentionally simple, and teeth whitening toothpaste has become part of my morning and night. After about a week, I noticed my smile looked brighter and I felt more confident in candid photos and meetings. If you're curious about what's become part of my routine, I left the details in the comments.

I arrived looking expensive.

I left looking like myself.
