Barbering has changed a lot over the years.
By the 1800s, the barbershop had become an established part of men’s grooming — a place where men came not only for a haircut or shave, but for conversation, routine, and community.
The way we promote ourselves has changed.
The way clients find us has changed.
The way we share our work has changed.
But what happens behind the chair hasn’t changed nearly as much.
Your hands.
Your knowledge.
Your consistency.
The way you treat the person sitting in front of you.
Content is part of barbering today, and I use it too. But I believe it should show the craft, not become more important than the craft itself.
