Chahta Lady Blends

Meet Shinuktihleli Imishi – Bee Balm 🐝

Found in full sun to part shade in prairies, plains, meadows, pastures, and savannas, the insect pollinated flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies. A long summer bloom makes it a great addition to your herb and pollinator gardens!

Historically, the Choctaw made an infusion of boiled leaves to promote gastrointestinal movement.

You can find a digital copy of the Culturally Significant Plants of the Choctaw Nation Reservation at Culturally Significant Plants Field Guide to find out more about Bee Balm and other plants around the reservation!
