Leather Artisan Deborah Hogen creates hand-crafted,hand-stitched, custom-designed leather articles & clothing. I create historical and contemporary designs.
The scent, the buttery feel, the subtle shades, the combinations of texture, color and practicality intrigue me and challenge me to explore more ways to create. I am a former theatrical costumer and set designer deciding to use my talents to create and design leather goods and clothing using deerhide, elkskin, buffalohide, goatskin, cowhide and sheep/lambskin. I consider leather to be an all-around meduium for utiliitarian items as well as for my artistic wanderings. I enjoy creating 'from scratch' as well as 'repurposing' old leather items. Leather has been with us for a long time, lasting in use in it's functionality and beauty. Recently I have been exploring leather as a medium in other artforms. Hand-stitched or hand-laced bags, pillows, boxes, book covers, furniture coverings, clothing, etc,. some leather tooling, some fur, some braiding. Custom work is available by special order. I have fair prices and a huge imagination to design something very unique for you! Great pride is taken in the construction of all articles and no two pieces are exactly alike thereby making each piece unique... just like you!

Taking the Initiative Against Daydreaming

Observation:”Daydreaming about something in order to do it properly is right, but daydreaming about it when we should be doing it is wrong. In this passage, after having said these wonderful things to His disciples, we might have expected our Lord to tell them to go away and meditate over them all. But Jesus never allowed idle daydreaming. When our purpose is to seek God and to discover His will for us, daydreaming is right and acceptable. But when our inclination is to spend time daydreaming over what we have already been told to do, it is unacceptable and God’s blessing is never on it. God will take the initiative against this kind of daydreaming by prodding us to action. Greetings! LAST CHANCE CHRISTMAS FAIR is full with a waiting list. We are blown away by the response to our vendor call. However, it has been brought to our attention that someone else is posing as administration for this event. And sadly, charging for booth spaces which are actually free spaces.
