So we went red. 🍂

One of my favorite examples of color theory in action 🤎

We went from a super honey blonde to a rich auburn, with a strong face frame but the result still feels incredibly natural against her deep brunette/black base.

The reason? Contrast.

Instead of creating a stark light-vs-dark effect, I chose an auburn that shares some of the same warmth and depth as her natural color. The copper, red, and brown tones bridge the two colors together, so even with a bold face frame, everything still melts rather than competes.

This is why choosing a hair color isn’t just about picking a shade you like. Depth, saturation, undertone, and contrast all change how that color interacts with the hair you already have.

Sometimes the most impactful transformations are the ones where the colors should contrast but somehow still belong together. ✨
