I’m so sorry we lost you Kevin Boroczky - I know you like to keep things private so I will keep things brief. Kevin was a man who was fighting to be better everyday, he refused to let his suffering get to him. He had plans. I’m thankful for the time we spent together, if any of his friends or family want to reach out please DM me. I’m so sorry for everyone who loved him 💔

Two years of owning a micro salon. 💖

When I opened my salon, I thought success meant doing everything myself. Two years later, I’ve learned that building a business isn’t about wearing every hat—it’s about knowing when to take one off.

A few lessons that have stuck with me:

✨ You can’t do it all yourself. Laundry, bookkeeping, accounting… those tasks all need to get done, but they don’t all need to be done by you. The sooner you delegate the things outside your expertise, the more time you have to focus on what actually grows your business.

📱 Online booking is one of the best investments I’ve made. My phone still rings, but a lot of those calls are spam. Meanwhile, my clients are booking appointments in the middle of the night, on their lunch break, or whenever it’s convenient for them. People are busy, and making it easy to book has been a game changer.

🎀 Protect your standards. It can be tempting to lower them to make everyone happy, but your standards are what define your brand. The right clients appreciate consistency and quality.

🤝 You can’t do it all yourself. As demand grew, I realized I needed to bring on additional stylists so we could care for more clients without sacrificing the experience. It also allows me to keep doing what I love most—being behind the chair.

🏡 A micro salon is an incredible way to start as a salon owner. It’s far more cost-effective than a traditional salon because so many of the major expenses are already included in your rent. Instead of managing a large facility, you can focus your energy on building your clientele, refining your craft, and creating an amazing guest experience.

Most of all, thank you. Every appointment, every recommendation, every review, every share, and every word of encouragement has helped make these last two years possible. I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of my clients and everyone who believed in me. Here’s to the next chapter. 💖

After a few weeks, my heart is still broken from loss of legendary Rexx Arkana from FGFC820. These were some videos I took back in 2024, I was so excited to see them live after being a fan for so long. Cancer sucks, long live your music 🎶 💔

Happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

Tonight, watching the fireworks over Boston, I’m thinking about everyone who came before me — my family has been part of this place since 1642, when William Shattuck first landed in Watertown, generations before any of this began.

Grateful for their sacrifices, their choices, and everything that led to this moment. Happy 250th, America. 🇺🇸
