I loved getting Lindsey Marie ready for In The Room with Dr. Neda Hovaizi | Womenâs Leadership đ¤ for Fab Fierce Females series. Her makeup was beautiful, but once I saw the stage lighting, I went back in and made a few intentional adjustments so it translated just as beautifully on stage and on camera.
After 22 years in this industry, beginning my career in Hollywood and working across bridal, editorial, television and high-profile events, I know beautiful makeup is only part of the job.

A reminder to myselfâŚ
Life isnât just meant to be built.

So between the weddings, the clients, the mindset coaching, the endless to-do lists, and the 4:00 a.m. alarms to be setting up makeup by 6:30 a.mâŚ.
Make time for the champagne.
Say yes to the invitation.

Yesterday I declined a pretty big makeup inquiry.
A few years ago, I wouldâve accepted it without a second thought.
Not because it was the right fit. Because I was operating from scarcity. I wouldâve justified the money, ignored the red flags, burnt myself out trying to make it work, and probably ended the experience completely depleted.
