Your eyes crease when you smile.
Your makeup will move when your face moves.

And guess what? That’s normal. 🤍

Even the most flawless-looking makeup you see in photos has skin underneath it. Cameras, lighting, filters, editing, and even the distance of the photo can make makeup look completely different than it does in person.

As a makeup artist, my goal isn’t to make you look like you have a completely different face. My goal is to make your skin look beautiful, fresh, even, and like YOU.

And this is where skin prep matters. 👏🏼

Clean, hydrated, well-prepped skin gives makeup a much better canvas to work with. The products you use beforehand, how hydrated your skin is, your skincare routine, and even how you arrive to your appointment can all affect how your makeup wears.

✨ Good makeup doesn’t mean no texture.
✨ Good makeup doesn’t mean zero wrinkles.
✨ Good makeup doesn’t mean looking airbrushed in real life.

Good makeup means the skin still looks like skin.

So please don’t look at a filtered photo online and think your face is supposed to look like that in person.

Your smile lines aren’t a flaw.

Your texture isn’t a flaw.

Getting to do my best friend’s makeup for her mermaid night on her bachelorette trip in Miramar was honestly SO special.

I’ve known this girl since she was 5 years old, and somehow, almost 30 years later, she’s still my person—literally my other half. I truly cannot imagine my life without her, and I’m so incredibly thankful that we’ve grown up together, stayed close, and gotten to experience so many different seasons of life side by side. Friendships like this are SO rare, and I’ll never take ours for granted. 🥺

We were supposed to do her makeup trial… but girlie hit me with the “let’s do blue” and obviously I said LET’S GOOOOOOO. 😂💙 And honestly?! It turned out BEAUTIFULLY.

We definitely forgot to get a proper after picture, but even HOURS later, through Florida humidity and a whole rainstorm, this girl was still looking ✨FLAWLESS✨.

Getting to be her makeup artist for such a special season of her life, while also getting to stand beside her as a bridesmaid on the most important day of her life, is truly the cherry on top. 🥹💙 I can’t wait to be right there with her, cheering her on, ugly crying, and making sure she feels absolutely beautiful as she says “I do.” I love you more than words, and I’m so incredibly lucky to get to call you my best friend.
