Let’s talk purple shampoo…

When you’re a brunette baddie, you might think about using purple shampoo when your toner fades.

Let me stop you there friend! When your hair is brunette the warm tones you battle are actually orange, not yellow. So what you really need is a BLUE shampoo.

Now personally, I’m not a huge fan of these shampoos. But if you’re going to use them, let’s make sure we are using them correctly!

-Purple cancels out yellow tones
-Blue cancels out orange tones
(I’ve even seen green shampoos to cancel out red tones!)

Do you know what maintenance looks like for your haircut?

We get asked this question a lot- and the answer varies from haircut to haircut. But we made you a cheat sheet to reference on when to book your next appointment!

Bangs, fades and pixes- 4-6 weeks
Bixies and short bobs- 6 weeks
Shags, mullets, bobs and lobs- 8-10 weeks
Long layered cuts or one length long cuts- 12-16 weeks

Remember, this is for maintaining and not necessarily growing your hair longer. Coming in more often for trims will allow you to grow healthier longer hair though!
