There are SO many benefits from receiving massage therapy, but heres just a few for anybody curious 🫶

I decided to dive deeper and explain each benefit because I figured there would be people interested in knowing how it all works and I’ve got a lot of knowledge to share. Hi! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my business. 🫶

My name is Sammy and I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist in the Boise/Meridian Area.

Initially, I decided to go to school for massage therapy for a number of reasons. I was already often giving my friends and family foot rubs or shoulder rubs just because. I genuinely enjoy making people feel better and I always have. I would find myself losing track of the time and I wanted to know more about what exactly I was doing under my fingertips. I have people in my life that suffer from chronic pain and tension and thats another big reason why i chose to go into this field. I wanted to learn about how I can help them without them just pushing through each day or relying on pharmaceuticals.

As I went through school, I developed a deep passion for massage therapy and other natural healing methods. I became fascinated by the human body. It also sparked a period of my life centered around deeper healing and my dedication on a personal path to wellness. The more I learned about my body, the more I wanted to be kind to it. And learn the ways to do so. I remember often asking why in the world did we NOT learn about this growing up in school. At ISMT, we were taught a number of sciences like Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathology as well as bodywork classes, meditation classes, and yoga classes. I’m so grateful for my education and the way that it incorporated not only knowledge of the body but also of the mind and spirit and the importance of all of that because everything is connected. ☯︎

Throughout school, I was trained in a variety of modalities such as Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Hydrotherapy, Sports massage, Lymphatic facilitation, Geriatric massage, Craniosacral, Visceral massage, Reflexology and even touching on TCM in our Asian bodywork classes. 🪷

The human body is endlessly fascinating and I’m intrigued to continue learning ways to naturally facilitate its healing process. 🫶

Now that I am out of school and officially licensed & insured, I am so excited to be able to share my knowledge of the human body and use it as a medium for helping people. I am most interested in providing individual-based integrated therapeutic massage that is centered towards each clients specific goals.

I am located downtown off Americana right next to the Greenbelt and Boise River. I am also mobile in the Boise/Meridian/Eagle area and I’m more than happy to provide my services in the comfort of your own home.
