Seriously DONT TOUCH IT! If you wanna find out the fastest way to make me scream internally is when I hand you that mirror and you go look in the bigger mirror as well and you touch it. We just spent 2 1/2 hours crafting these waves, don’t touch them. This style is all looks no touching!

When a bride comes to me asking for Hollywood waves or glam waves the first thing I say is do you like to touch your hair? Because this hairstyle looks beautiful, but the moment you touch it and play with it, it breaks the waves apart.

The second question I ask is are you OK with lots of hairspray, back combing and ready to invest in extensions? Because this hairstyle requires a lot of hairspray and back combing to craft the waves to have it stay in this position. And also realistically a lot of waves have quite a bit of hair extensions in their hair to create that fullness and that length.

The third question I ask is if you’re not having me stay for touchups or come back for a second look what is your plan for your hair if it drops or if you plan on breaking it down on the dance floor. If I’m not staying for touchups or coming back for a second look, I often recommend for dancing putting your hair in a ponytail so that it still looks fabulous for photos. Because dancing causes a lot of movement and friction your hair will naturally break apart and inevitably sometimes hair types and also weather conditions, and also potentially people pulling on it, touching it, pushing it, pulling it apart, will cause the waves to drop
