There have been hundreds of photos and videos I’ve almost deleted because one lash was out of place.

I convinced myself they weren’t “good enough.”

Then I’d run out of content.

So I’d go back to those “backup” photos I hated just to stay consistent.

And here’s the funny part…

Almost every single time I’ve posted work I wasn’t completely proud of, I’ve gotten a DM from someone saying:

“I’m obsessed.”

“How do I book?”

“Can you teach me?”

Meanwhile, the only thing I could see was that one lash.

Your future clients aren’t zooming in looking for flaws.

They’re looking for someone whose work they trust.

Perfectionism doesn’t make you a better artist.

It usually just makes you post less.

Post the photo.

Someone is waiting to see it.

Ask any lash artist if she’s ever lost a client…

I know I have.

Did it bruise my ego a little? Absolutely.

But then I look at the clients who have planned vacations around their fills, rearranged their schedules to get in with me, and trusted me with their lashes for years.

That’s when I remind myself…

You are not meant for everyone.

Early in my career, every client who didn’t rebook made me question my work. Sometimes it was because I still had room to grow—but more often than not, it had nothing to do with me.

Life happens.

Some clients hit financial struggles.
Some want to give their natural lashes a break.
Some simply decide they don’t want the maintenance anymore.

None of those things make you a bad lash artist.

We provide a service, an experience, and a luxury. Not everyone will choose that service forever—and that’s okay.

Instead of obsessing over the one client who left, pour that energy into becoming the artist who attracts the next loyal client.

Because every client who leaves creates space for someone who’s a better fit.

And trust me… they’re coming.

We started around the same time, but her Instagram made me feel like I had just picked up a pair of tweezers yesterday.

Her content was beautiful.
Her branding was beautiful.
Her following was huge.
