I’m at 1.2K followers right now, and I’ve decided I want to see if I can get to 2K. Not because I’m trying to become an influencer 😂 but because I really do want to keep building my little corner of the internet with people who actually make sense for me.

I want more hairstylists here. People who love this industry as much as I do, who want to learn from each other, share what’s working, talk about the weird s**t that comes with being behind the chair, celebrate each other’s wins, and just genuinely support one another. I’ve met some really incredible people through this career, and I’d love for social media to feel like an extension of that instead of some weird competition.

And obviously, I want to keep reaching the right clients too. The people who see my work, get my personality, understand what I’m about, and think, “Yep. That’s who I want doing my hair.” Because at the end of the day, that’s what all of this is really for.

One thing life cannot, will not, and will not ever be able to take from me?

My positivity…. And it’s not the toxic kind that pretends everything is sunshine and rainbows or that somehow ignores the hard things. It’s the kind that’s been forged in the middle of them.

I’ve learned that I can acknowledge heartbreak, fear, grief, uncertainty, and exhaustion while still believing tomorrow is worth showing up for. I can cry, be angry, ask “why,” and still choose hope. Those things aren’t opposites…they’ve learned to coexist.

Life has tested me more times than I can count. It has changed me, humbled me, and forced me to grow in ways I never asked for. But every single challenge has also reminded me that my outlook is something no circumstance gets to own. It’s a choice I make over and over again, even when it would be easier not to.

That doesn’t mean I’m never scared. It means fear doesn’t get the final say.

So no matter what life throws at me next, that’s one thing it will never take. My ability to find the light, even if I have to become the one carrying it.
