I get it. Nobody wants to moisturize their skin and spend the next hour leaving fingerprints on everything.

But rich moisture doesn’t have to mean excessively greasy skin.

For me, it’s all about the formulation. I want my skin to feel soft, smooth and moisturized—not like the product is just sitting on top of it.

So if “too greasy” has kept you away from body butter, maybe you just haven’t found the right one yet.

I can tell you my hand sanitizer doesn’t leave your hands feeling dry.
But I’d rather let a customer tell you.

Kenisha’s review made me smile because this is exactly why I created my moisturizing hand sanitizer the way I did.

We all want clean hands. But that dry, tight feeling afterward? That’s the part I wanted to do differently.

And when a customer goes from purchasing for herself to purchasing for her friends too…that says more than I ever could.

Thank you, Kenisha, for trusting A. René and for sharing your experience.

If hand sanitizer usually leaves your hands feeling dry, maybe it’s time to try one that doesn’t.

A. René Body Essentials actually started with one jar of scrub.

Years ago, I ran out of the exfoliating scrub I normally used with my nail clients, so I decided to make my own. I loved the texture and the smell.

Not long after, I was standing in an airport in Jamaica when I smelled these beautiful tropical oils and thought, I would love for my scrub to smell like this.

So I came home inspired and kept making it.

For nearly 15 years, that scrub was something I made and used with my clients at A. René Nail Spa. I wasn’t trying to build a body-care brand. It was simply part of the experience I gave my clients.

Then one of my longtime clients, Mrs. Ann, asked if she could take some home to use on her feet. I told her I didn’t even have a container to put it in.

At her next appointment, she brought her own little mason jar. 😂 She wanted her scrub, and she told me, “You should be selling this.”

I didn’t know it then, but she had planted a seed.

Mrs. Ann is pictured here on the right. Sadly, she passed away just a few weeks ago. She saw something worth sharing long before I ever considered turning it into a business.

Even after that mason jar, I still didn’t start selling it.

Then COVID happened.

I needed another source of income, and I realized I already had something my clients had used, loved and believed in for years. And now I finally had the time to see what it could become.

So I started selling my scrub.

Then came the body butters, moisturizing hand sanitizer, cuticle care, men’s grooming products and more. One product became a family of products, and eventually became A. René Body Essentials.

Sometimes it takes someone else believing in what you’ve created before you realize what you have in your hands.

Mrs. Ann, you were right. ❤️

Have you ever had someone see something in you before you could see it for yourself?

I started juicing for overall wellness and weight loss—not specifically for my skin.

Watermelon (yes, even the rind!), celery, oranges, apples, ginger and lemons are some of my favorites. And as I learned more about what I was putting into my body, I realized that many of these fruits and vegetables provide nutrients that also support normal skin health.

I believe in taking care of my skin from the outside—you already know I love a good body butter, scrub and oil.

But I’m also becoming more intentional about taking care of the woman underneath it.

For me, it’s all connected.

Do you juice? What’s your favorite combination?

Why does my guy’s beard still look dry even after he uses beard oil?

If you’ve ever thought that, the answer may not be adding more oil.

A well-groomed beard isn’t just about putting something on it until it looks shiny.

The goal is a beard that looks conditioned, feels softer, and is easier to manage. And the skin underneath the beard needs attention too.

Sometimes the difference isn’t another product. It’s being more intentional and consistent with the grooming routine and making sure the product is worked through the beard instead of only being smoothed over the surface.

Because there’s a difference between a beard that simply grows and one that looks cared for.

If your guy has a beard, what’s his biggest struggle with keeping it groomed?

“I hate using hand sanitizer because it dries my hands out.”

If you’ve ever said that, I understand.

We want clean hands, but that tight, dry feeling afterward? Not so much.

Especially when you’re reaching for sanitizer several times throughout the day.

That’s exactly why I didn’t want to create just another hand sanitizer. I wanted moisturizing ingredients to be part of the formula too.

Because something you’re using on your hands throughout the day shouldn’t make you dread how your hands are going to feel afterward.

Does hand sanitizer usually leave your hands feeling dry?

Your hands should still look cared for between manicure appointments.

You know that fresh manicure look when your nails are done, your cuticles are moisturized and everything just looks clean and polished?

I want to keep that feeling going.

Cuticle care isn’t only something that should happen when you’re sitting at the nail table. A little consistent care at home can make such a difference in how your nails and the skin around them look and feel.

Keeping your cuticles moisturized is one of those little things that doesn’t take much time, but makes a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of your hands.

Beautiful hands don’t have to start and stop with your manicure appointment.

What’s the first thing you notice when your cuticles get dry—the way they look or the way they feel?

More isn’t always better…especially when it comes to exfoliating your skin.

If you’re scrubbing your skin like you’re trying to remove a stain, we need to talk.

Exfoliating shouldn’t mean attacking your skin.

The goal is to gently polish away that dull, rough feeling and leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and ready for moisture.

And you don’t have to scrub harder to get better results.

Use gentle pressure and let your Body Polish do the work. Pay a little extra attention to those areas that tend to get rough, like your elbows, knees and heels.

And please don’t feel like you have to exfoliate every single day.

Beautiful, smooth skin isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about being consistent and a little more intentional with how you care for your skin.

Be honest…are you a gentle exfoliator, or are you in that shower SCRUBBING?

You may have heard of squalane in your facial skincare…but what about the rest of your skin?

One of the ingredients I chose for my Body Soufflé is squalane oil.

And I didn’t add it just because it sounds fancy.

Squalane is a lightweight emollient that helps soften and smooth the skin while supporting its moisture barrier.

That’s important to me because I wanted a body butter that could give you that rich, moisturized feeling without your skin feeling like it’s covered in a heavy layer of grease.

Especially as our skin matures, sometimes what worked for us years ago just doesn’t give our skin what it needs anymore.

I want soft skin.
I want moisturized skin.
I want that healthy-looking glow.

But I also want to be able to get dressed afterwards.

That’s why I’m very intentional about the ingredients I choose for A. René Body Essentials.

When you buy body care, do you actually look at the ingredients, or are you choosing mostly by how it smells?
