The compression garment debate is more complicated than TikTok makes it seem. 👀

One study doesn’t tell the whole story. Compression, lymphatic drainage, nutrition, and activity all play a role in the recovery process. The goal is not just healing quickly, but healing well. 🤍

Always follow your surgeon’s specific post-op instructions.

A full transformation is more than a before-and-after. It’s a story.

We love seeing patients share their full journey and the impact it can have on others considering surgery. Huge credit to Jodi Echakowitz for being so open about her experience, and to her surgeon Dr Martin Jugenburg (Dr6ix) - Plastic Surgeon Six Surgery Toronto for the beautiful work. 🙌🏼

Revision breast augmentation, with a lift for a more balanced result.

This patient underwent implant removal and replacement, along with a mastopexy (breast lift) and mesh support to improve shape, position, and overall symmetry.

Every revision is different, and the surgical plan depends on the patient’s anatomy, previous surgery, and goals.

Skinny people get cellulite too.

Cellulite isn’t simply a result of having excess fat. It’s largely related to the fibrous bands that connect your skin to the underlying tissue. Those bands can create dimpling regardless of your body size.

Having more fat can make cellulite more noticeable, but it doesn’t mean you’re more likely to have it.

3 months post-op and just getting started. ✨

Jackie’s mommy makeover included Lipo 360, a tummy tuck, and a BBL to create a more sculpted, balanced silhouette.

At this stage, her results are already beautiful, but they’re still evolving. Swelling will continue to improve, and her scar will continue to fade over the months ahead.

Thank you, Jackie Calderon for trusting us with your journey. 🤍

The goal of every breast reduction is to preserve the ni**le.

A free ni**le graft is rare, but it’s an important part of the conversation because every surgery comes with risks. During a breast reduction, your surgeon works to maintain healthy blood flow to the ni**le and ar**la while reshaping the breast. In uncommon cases, that isn’t possible, and a free ni**le graft may be the safest option.

The key isn’t to be afraid of the risk, it’s to understand it. A thorough consultation means discussing not only the expected outcome, but also the rare possibilities before surgery.

An informed patient is an empowered patient.

Yes, you can tattoo over a surgical scar, but timing matters.

In most cases, it’s best to wait about a year before tattooing over a surgical scar. Even then, not every scar is ready. Raised, thickened, or stretched scars may need more time or may not be ideal candidates.

Whether you’re looking to camouflage a scar with medical tattooing or incorporate it into a custom design, the best results start with proper healing and a conversation with both your surgeon and tattoo artist.

Every scar is different, so every plan should be too.

A red scar doesn’t mean it’s a bad scar.

At just 3 months after a tummy tuck, it’s completely normal for a scar to still look pink or red. What matters most this early is that the scar is thin, flat, and healing well. The color is often the last thing to improve.

With time and proper scar care, redness gradually fades, leaving a scar that blends much more naturally with your skin.

Healing is a marathon, not a sprint. 🏃‍♀️

The idea of donor tissue can sound surprising, but it’s more common than you think.

Alloclae is just one example. Donated tissue is used every day throughout medicine, from skin grafts and bone grafts to heart valves, corneas, tendons, and more. These donated tissues have helped transform the way we care for patients across countless specialties.

Behind every donation is an incredible act of generosity that continues to improve lives long after a person’s lifetime.

We had you in the first half. 😂

No, we’re not partnering with Uber. 😅

But unfortunately, at-home liposuction is a real thing, and it’s one of the biggest red flags in cosmetic surgery.

Liposuction belongs in an accredited surgical facility, not someone’s living room. Your safety should always come before convenience.
