Tange Wellness
Offering platonic touch & cuddling for loneliness & touch deprivation in Washington DC & Southern VA.
Also supporting professional cuddlers through the Platonic Touch Academy.
Yes. We're talking about it.
Bodies can respond to closeness and touch in ways we don't consciously choose.
Professional cuddle therapy remains nons*xual.
No shame. No acting on it. Clear boundaries, communication and adjustments when needed.
Have a question you've been afraid to ask? Ask it.
“Why not just ask a friend?”
You absolutely can.
Healthy affection with friends and family can be wonderful.
Professional platonic touch offers something different: dedicated time with clear expectations, boundaries and no requirement to reciprocate emotionally, romantically or s*xually.
Different relationships can meet different needs.
There isn't a “typical” cuddle therapy client.
People walk through my office doors for very different reasons and with very different relationships to touch.
The common denominator isn't that something is wrong with them.
It's that they're interested in experiencing safe, consensual, platonic connection in a professional setting, and sometimes that's enough of a reason.

You don't need to understand exactly what you're looking for before contacting me.
You don't need to know which cuddle positions you'd like.
You don't need to promise you're going to book.
You definitely don't need to pretend you're not nervous. ❤️
That's why new clients start with a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.
You can tell me what's bringing you here.
Ask the awkward questions.
Tell me what you're worried about.
Learn how sessions work and then decide whether working together feels right for you.
If it doesn't? That's okay.
If it does, we'll take the next step together.
I see clients in Bethesda, Maryland and Williamsburg, Virginia.
Start with a conversation. Consultation link in my bio.

Tomorrow we're taking connection out into the community. 💜
I'll be in Fells Point from 11 AM–1 PM giving out FREE HUGS with fellow professional cuddler April April Sky Marinelli
This time I've recruited my brand-new fiancé, Morgan, to join us.
He'll be offering free regular hugs and DAD HUGS for anyone who could use one.
No catch. No sales pitch. No appointment.
Just a few humans spending a Sunday morning reminding people that safe, consensual connection can be really simple.
If you're in Baltimore, come find us and get a hug! 🤗
Wanting reciprocal romantic love is completely valid.
Your cuddle therapist isn't a replacement partner.
It isn't supposed to convince you that you no longer want romance, s*x, intimacy, marriage, dating or whatever kind of relationship you're hoping for.
It's a different kind of connection with a different purpose.
It isn't right for everyone, but for those that it is right for, it feeds their soul and reminds them they are worth of affection and comfort.
“Why would I pay someone to cuddle when hugs are free?” 🤔
Fair question.
You're not paying for the physical act of hugging.
You're paying for the professional environment surrounding it:
clear boundaries
consent
communication
privacy
time devoted to your needs and no expectation that you take care of mine.
Cuddle therapy isn't right for everyone.
For the people it is right for, that distinction matters.
If you've realized you're missing touch, you don't automatically need cuddle therapy.
First ask yourself: What am I actually missing?
Affection? Physical comfort? Being held? Massage? Emotional closeness? Feeling wanted?
Different needs may have different solutions.
Professional platonic touch is one option. It isn't the only one. ❤️
Went to NYC with a boyfriend. Came home with a fiancé! 💍❤️
As someone who spends so much of her life talking about touch, intimacy, safety, and connection, it means everything to have found a love where I feel completely safe, fully seen, and deeply cherished.
Morgan is warm, thoughtful, playful, and incredibly affectionate. He once told me he couldn’t believe he had met someone even more affectionate than he. I can’t believe I found someone who can receive and return all the love I have to give.
He planned the most breathtaking proposal on a yacht in front of the Statue of Liberty, and I am still floating. I love you so much, my Special. I am beyond thrilled that I get to marry you!
Not everyone who lives alone is lonely.
Not everyone who's single is touch-starved.
Not everyone wants romantic affection.
Family, friendship and community touch don't somehow “count less.”
What matters is whether the connection in your life feels meaningful and sufficient to you.
