Getting the hair of your dreams can feel impossible when your hair is fine and fragile. I’m not here to tell you that you can have it all immediately, but I can definitely help you where you are today to get where you want to go.

When this lovely client first started coming to me in 2023, she told me length was her number one priority despite the fact her top layer of hair was literally three inches long. She said her top layer had never grown past that point, but that she would rather deal with trying to conceal her extensions and not give up her length. I listened to her as she walked me through her hair journey. I had a feeling we could get her hair to grow with a few small changes, but I always tell new clients, “Hey, this is me and your hair’s first date. I have thoughts and ideas, but you’ve had this hair your whole life.”

Listening to your real life experience with your hair will always be the most important thing I do.

Today we reminisced on the journey we have been on together, with her natural hair—including the top layer—being the longest it’s been in her adult life. We talked about how we used to approach her extension install differently in the beginning while her hair was recovering from previous issues, but all the while giving her the hair that was important to make herself feel like herself.

I’m so thankful she decided to trust me three years ago and that she continues to trust me today to always do what’s best and right for her hair, to keep it healthy and to prevent further damage.

After nearly a decade behind the chair, I began focusing my work on revitalizing, treating, and protecting fragile hair. Around 2020, it felt like everyone around me was experiencing some form of hair loss—everything from thinning to alopecia—and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something bigger was going on.

As a hair science nerd, I dove into researching everything I could to better understand why this was happening and what could actually help.

Over the years, I’ve sat with so many clients carrying the pain, frustration, guilt, and shame that can come with hair loss. The endless searching for answers. The heartbreak of not recognizing yourself in the mirror anymore and wondering what might have done wrong or what might be wrong with you.

I can’t diagnose the cause, but I can help you feel like yourself again.
