Have you noticed a dip or scooped look along the bridge of your nose? 👃
That collapse has a name: saddle nose deformity. It happens when the septum, the internal wall that holds up the bridge, loses its strength. The most common causes I see are an injury to the nose, a previous nasal surgery, infection, autoimmune conditions, and intranasal drug use.
Here is what I want patients to know: this is something we can reconstruct. I rebuild the missing support with cartilage, usually taken from your own septum, ear, or rib, and occasionally from a donor source. Picture a tent with a broken center pole. Once the pole is replaced, the shape returns. The goal is a bridge that looks natural and a nose that functions well, since support affects breathing too.
If your bridge has changed over time, or you have been living with this for years, a consultation is the best way to understand what is possible for your nose. 💙

What a whirlwind of a weekend. 💙
I had the privilege of speaking at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery annual meeting as part of the Sheldon S. Kabaker, MD Excellence in Facial Plastic Surgery Presentation. I joined an incredible panel of women (Dr. Kristina Tansavatdi, Dr. Thuy-Van Tina Ho, and Dr. Sarah Saxon) to talk about how we’re using AI in our practices, from marketing and patient reviews to automation behind the scenes.
I came to share what I’ve learned, and I left having learned so much more. The other speakers were phenomenal, and the pace of change in aesthetic medicine is staggering. Compared to where we were just a year ago, it feels like five years have passed.
As always, one of the best parts of this meeting is the people. I caught up with old friends and colleagues, and was reminded how much we learn from each other.
Then I hopped on a red-eye and headed straight home for another important event: homecoming for my daughters, a junior and a freshman.
Was it exhausting? Absolutely. Would I have missed it? Not for the world.
This weekend reminded me that balance doesn’t always mean doing less. Sometimes it means being intentional about where you spend your time, fully present when you’re there, and grateful that you get to do the things that matter to you.
I shared. I learned. I showed up. Completely whirlwind, completely worth it.

Your upper lip is aging too. Most people just don't know what to look for. 💙
We talk about eyes, necks and jawlines, but the area around the mouth changes just as steadily. The distance between the nose and the upper lip slowly lengthens, the lip border flattens, and the red lip thins and rolls inward. The result is less tooth show when you smile and a lip that looks thinner even if it hasn't lost much volume.
The important distinction: a longer lip and a thinner lip are two different problems, and they aren't fixed the same way. Filler restores volume. It cannot shorten a lip that has lengthened, and on the wrong lip it can add heaviness instead of youthfulness.
That's why I look at proportions first in consultation, not just fullness. Sometimes the answer is volume. Sometimes it's position. Sometimes it's both.

Preparation is where great outcomes really begin. Long before Dr. Ponsky ever picks up an instrument, she has walked through your procedure in her mind, more than once.
It is one of the reasons her patients feel so at ease heading into surgery. The work starts well before the first incision.

Sometimes the best kind of self care is thirty minutes to just breathe. The Glo2Facial combines oxygenation, exfoliation, and a custom serum infusion for a glow that lasts well after you leave the chair.
It is a favorite for patients looking to relax and reset, no downtime required 💙
