Sometimes I Wish people could see what it really means to be a Hairstylist/ Barber.

Because in one week, we can experience an entire lifetime with our clients.

This week, I Grieved alongside a widow.
I comforted a friend battling cancer.
A mother who lost a child. A man with stage 4 cancer with no hope for treatment, and hasn’t told his family.

And somewhere in between all of that, there were laughs, celebrations, exciting news, hard days, New beginnings, and everything in between.

We are often the first to know.

The Pregnancy.
The Heartbreak.
The Loss.
The Promotion.
The Divorce.
The New relationship.
The Diagnosis.
The Engagement.
The things they haven’t told anyone else yet.

We sit across from our Clients and listen. We celebrate with them. We cry with them. We hold space for them. Sometimes we know what is happening in their lives before their friends and family do. I Love My Job, but it's So Much More Then A Job!
