🧬 The 5 real reasons fascia forms adhesions

Each one is a distinct mechanism — and they often stack on top of each other.

1. Inflammation in the tissue

Inflammation makes the ground substance thicker and stickier.
Hyaluronan loses its slippery quality → layers stop gliding → they start fusing.

This is why clients feel “crunchy,” “ropey,” or “stuck.”

When fascia loses water, collagen fibers collapse inward and mat together.

Lipedema: It’s More Than Fat. It’s a Connective Tissue Condition. ✨

For years, countless women have been told to “just lose weight.”

But lipedema is far more complex than that.

Lipedema is increasingly recognized as a disorder involving the fascia, connective tissue, extracellular matrix, and lymphatic system—not simply an excess accumulation of fat.

✨ What Is Fascia? The Missing Piece of Your Health ✨

Most people have never heard of fascia… yet it surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel, organ, and cell in your body.

Think of it as your body’s living communication network—connecting everything from head to toe.

đź’› What is fascia made of?
Fascia is primarily made of:
• Collagen – provides strength and support.
• Elastin – allows tissues to stretch and recoil.
• Ground substance – a gel-like matrix rich in water, hyaluronic acid, and other molecules that help tissues glide smoothly.
