It’s such a strange thing… how the world keeps moving after something life changing happens to you.

You go through trauma, surgery, loss, fear — and somehow you’re expected to quietly step back into “normal life” like nothing shifted.

Meanwhile every single person around us is carrying something too.
Grief.
Stress.
Heartbreak.
Fear.
Loneliness.
Survival.

And most of the time we never truly stop long enough to see each other.

Lately I’ve realized human connection may actually be the whole point.

Not perfection.
Not productivity.
Not the endless rush.

Just being there for one another.
Listening.
Checking in.
Holding space.
Making people feel seen.

Maybe that’s why I love what I do so much. Behind the hair appointments, conversations about color, and busy schedules… there are real humans sitting in our chairs trusting us with pieces of their lives.

Life threw me a little unexpected curveball recently, and I’m currently taking some time away from the salon to recover from surgery.

As many of you know, this industry is fast paced, and in today’s world it’s easy to move on when appointments aren’t immediately available. That’s why I can’t fully express how much it means to me that so many of you have chosen patience, kindness, and support during this time.

One of the greatest gifts of being behind the chair is getting to walk through life alongside my guests — the celebrations, heartbreaks, milestones, fresh starts, and everything in between. Over the years, those appointments become real relationships, and I never take that for granted.

Thank you for checking on me, adjusting schedules, waiting for appointments, and supporting me while I heal. It means more than you know, and I’m incredibly grateful for each of you.

I’ll be back behind the chair as soon as I’m able — healthy, rested, and ready to make you all feel beautiful again. 🤍
