Part 3: Strain, bottle & it’s ready to use! 🌿

If you haven’t seen them yet, go watch Part 1 and Part 2 first!

Here’s the final step:

• After your infusion is finished, let the oil cool before handling it. Don’t try to strain it while it’s still hot.
• Once cooled, stir everything well.
• Using a funnel, double strain the infusion into an amber glass bottle for a cleaner final product.
• If you’d like an even stronger infusion, you can gently double boil it first, then cover it and let it continue infusing for a few days before straining. The longer it infuses, the more time the oil has to extract resin compounds, including boswellic acids.
• You can also use a crock pot on a very low setting for a slow, gentle infusion.
• Once the infusion has cooled, you can add skin-loving essential oils. We love adding Boswellia sacra (frankincense) essential oil—it gives the serum an incredible aroma while complementing the resin infusion.
• Store your finished infusion in an amber glass bottle, or pour it into 30 ml dropper bottles for easy daily use.

One thing I’ve learned over the years: the resin matters. The grade and quality of the frankincense resin will influence the aroma, color, and overall quality of your finished serum. That’s why we use premium Hojari frankincense from Oman.
