A transformative HEAD SPA experience where beauty meets holistic wellness for mind, body, and soul.

Part 3:

What makes my approach to Head Spa different?

Realizing that the scalp isn’t separate from the rest of the body. It’s connected to our nervous system, our stress, our inflammation, our emotions, and even the way we move through the world. When we begin to understand that, the service becomes so much more than shampooing someone’s hair.

It becomes an opportunity to help someone slow down. To create safety. To listen. To educate. To care for the whole person sitting in your chair.

But somewhere along the way, I think our industry started rewarding speed over presence and trends over intention. We were taught how to perform services, but not always why they matter, how to protect our own bodies, or how to create careers that are actually sustainable.

That’s the heart behind why I teach.

Yes, I want you to understand scalp health and sanitation. But I also want you to understand your own body. I want you to leave feeling empowered to think critically, trust your intuition, regulate your nervous system, and create experiences that feel deeply intentional for both you and your guests.

Because I truly believe that when we care for the provider, the quality of care naturally extends to everyone they touch.

If this way of practicing speaks to you, I’d love to invite you into my world. Join my VIP ACCESS waitlist through the link in my bio to be the first to know when my online education is released.

And if you’re ready for a more personal experience, my in-person trainings are open for 1:1 mentorship and mini groups. I’d be honored to support you on your journey. 🤍

I think somewhere along the way, so many of us accepted the idea that taking care of ourselves was something we’d get around to after everyone else had been taken care of. We built careers around pushing through, staying busy, and giving every ounce of ourselves away because that’s what we believed being a great provider looked like.

Guess what?! WE HAD IT BACKWARDS 🙃

What if the most impactful practitioners of the future are the ones who know how to protect their own energy, regulate their nervous systems, and create lives that feel just as nourishing as the experiences they’re offering their guests?

That’s the kind of industry I’m committed to helping build.

If you’re feeling called to create more intentional, restorative experiences, I’d love to support you. Comment TRAINING to learn more about my in-person education, or join my VIP ACCESS waitlist through the link in my bio for my upcoming online education.

I truly believe caring for the provider is one of the most important conversations our industry isn’t having… and I’m here to help change that 🤍✨

Bestie, this is your reminder to MOVE ✨

We spend so much of our career pouring into others..
So here’s your reminder that you deserve to be poured into, too. 🤍

For me, that sometimes looks like stepping away for a few minutes, shaking it out, turning on my favorite song, and letting my body move. Play isn’t frivolous. Joy isn’t something you have to earn. They’re part of caring for your mental health.

Especially if you’re a hairstylist!!

Find the thing that helps you come back to yourself… then do it unapologetically. The industry needs more providers pouring from abundance, not depletion. ✨

If this resonated, follow along and share it with an industry bestie who needs the reminder today

a soothing and meditative head spa experience with one of my fave clients ✨ she’s been following me from the beginning and has always been cheering for me even after loosing my last account!

Thank you for your love support and sweetness you offer to me and extend into the world!

I’m so incredibly grateful to know you and it’s an honor to serve you 🩷

I think a lot of millennial hairstylists were taught that burnout was just part of the job :/

Skip lunch. Push through the discomfort. Take one more client. We’re exhausted

the future of our industry isn’t built on “doing more”...

It’s built on pouring from abundance instead of depletion, setting boundaries and honoring more intentional care ✨

That can look like slowing your services down, creating intentional moments of care, honoring your body’s signals, protecting your energy, raising your prices when it’s aligned, and building offerings that nourish both you and your guests

Your guests don’t need a burnt-out version of you.
They deserve a regulated, present provider.
AND SO DO YOU!

If you’re ready to create deeper, more intentional experiences that support both your nervous system and your business, I’d love to teach you!

FOLLOW for more education that puts the practitioner first, LIKE this post if it resonated, SHARE it with an industry bestie who needs to hear this, and comment TRAINING if you’re excited to shift into a deeper offering. 🤍✨

⚡️NEWS FLASH⚡️ it doesn’t happen overnight ;)

“Overnight success” is one of the biggest illusions we compare ourselves to. What you’re witnessing today is often years of quiet decisions that no one ever got to see.

The mornings they questioned themselves.
The seasons where nothing seemed to be working.
The healing.
The therapy.
The nervous system work.
The boundaries.
The times they chose to keep showing up even when they weren’t seeing immediate results.

As providers, we spend so much time wondering if we’re behind, if we should be moving faster, posting more, offering more, becoming more. But what if your path was never meant to look like anyone else’s?

WHAT IF every opportunity arriving exactly when it does is preparing you for the next one?

I’ve learned that curiosity will always take you further than comparison!

Instead of asking, “Why isn’t this happening for me yet?” try asking, “What is this season teaching me that my future self will be so grateful for?”

Because the truth is, if everything had happened on my timeline, I wouldn’t have had the capacity to hold it.

The healing matters. The mindset matters.
Learning to regulate my nervous system MATTERS.

If life feels slower than you expected right now, don’t assume you’re falling behind..

You might be building the very foundation that allows your abundance to last ✨

And who’s to say what arrives won’t be even better than anything you could have planned for yourself?

Personally… I love a surprise like that. 🤍

What is something you’re learning in this season? I’d love for this comment section to help support others that might be facing a season of feeling alone. We’re never alone and we can be a resource and support for eachother!

Looking back, I don’t think there was one defining moment where I realized the work I loved was affecting my health.. It happened so gradually

At first it was just feeling more tired than I thought I should. Then the headaches became more frequent.

My throat would feel irritated after certain days behind the chair. My skin became more reactive. I found myself pushing through because that’s what we do as hairstylists. We show up. We take care of our guest, come back to do it all over again.

It never occurred to me that the environment I was working in every day might be asking something of my body. I thought those things were just part of the job 🙃 little did I know..

It wasn’t until I began learning more about the ingredients we work with, the air we breathe, the physical demands of our profession, and the constant stimulation our nervous systems experience that I started looking at my career through a different lens.

I often wonder how many of us have accepted feeling UNWELL because we’ve never been encouraged to ask different questions

If you’re a hairstylist, esthetician, or LMT and you’ve been feeling called to bring Head Spa into your practice, comment “TRAINING” and let’s connect.

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for over 17 years, specializing in scalp care and Head Spa since 2020. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of educating beauty professionals across multiple licensed because I believe this work belongs to all of us when it’s approached with intention, integrity, and a deep understanding of the body.

My education goes far beyond learning a sequence of techniques. Together, we explore consultation, sanitation, scalp health, nervous system regulation, guest experience, and how to create treatments that feel sustainable for both you and the person in your chair.

Because the truth is… this work changed my life.

Offering slower, more intentional services helped me reconnect with a career I genuinely love. It gave me space to breathe again, care for my own nervous system, and build a business that feels deeply aligned with who I am. That shift has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made, and it’s exactly why I’m so passionate about teaching it!

My hope is to help cultivate the next generation of Head Spa providers who are devoted to thoughtful care, elevated standards, and creating experiences that nourish both the guest and the provider.

If that sounds like the kind of education you’ve been looking for, comment “TRAINING.” I’d be honored to support you on your journey.

Xx,
Gabrielle
