Waterproof sunscreen does not exist. 🚫💧
It’s one of the most common things we hear at the studio, so let’s clear up what the bottle is actually telling you:
☀️ “Water resistant” is tested at either 40 or 80 minutes — that’s the whole claim
☀️ “Broad spectrum” is regulated. If the bottle doesn’t say it, it’s not tested for UVA
☀️ Pilling? Almost always the layer underneath, not your SPF
☀️ Reapply every 2 hours outdoors — and press, don’t rub, over makeup
Our Solar Shield Tinted SPF uses 8% titanium dioxide + 3.8% zinc oxide for a matte, primer-like finish that actually survives an Austin afternoon.
