“As you begin to walk on the way, the way appears.”
People are often surprised when they ask how I got into makeup. They expect the typical answer: “I played in my mom’s makeup as a little girl,” or “I was always such a girly girl.”
That wasn’t me.
I was a tomboy. I’d rather ride my bike and climb trees than play in makeup. Honestly, I’m pretty sure I never even touched my mom’s makeup!
I didn’t discover my love for makeup until after high school, in my early 20s. It wasn’t something I had planned or dreamed about as a little girl. I just started walking, and the path began to show itself.
Learning more about Danessa Myricks journey reminded me that you don’t have to know your path from childhood. Sometimes what you’re meant to do finds you along the way.
So don’t be discouraged if you haven’t found your way just yet… just keep walking! 🫶🏽
