The Southern Barber College was founded on March 20, 1965 at 942 Ellis Street, Augusta, Georgia. Later, this college was relocated within Augusta, Georgia to 1240 Broad Street and 218 Eighth Street, respectively. Currently, the Southern Barber College is located at 1276 Merry St, Augusta, GA 30904. The Southern Barber College is approved by the State Board of Barbers and is an approved program of
study for the Veteran’s Administration and both the Georgia and South Carolina Departments of Vocational Rehabilitation. The Southern Barber College uses only modern equipment and the latest scientific methods in the barbering field. Administration
Dr. Wayne Frazier is the President of the Southern Barber College. Dr. Frazier completed 23 years in the military and retired as a 1ST Sergeant. He also completed 20 years in Public Education, serving 12 years as a Principal. Mason, Chief Operational Officer

Mr. Robert Mills began a career in the Art and Science of Barbering approximately seventeen (17) year ago. Mills has completed both a 1500 hours course in barbering and an additional 1000 hours in an instructor’s course at an approved barber college. He holds certificates from both program of study. Mills has many years of experience in the teaching and administrative field. He has several years of actual experience working in a barber styling shop and has attended various clinics and advance courses where certifications were awarded. He currently holds a Master Barber License and Barber Teachers License in the State of Georgia.
