It’s that time of year! I’m sure you’ve noticed your skin needs some extra love as we enter a colder season. Save these tips to help🫶🏻
1. Utilize a cream cleanser in the AM:
Nourishment can take place in the cleansing step
2. Exfoliate within reason:
It’s important to keep up with exfoliating as dry/dead skin will build up and appear dull. However, exfoliate within reason. Chat with me to determine which type of exfoliant is best for you
3. Listen to your skin:
It’s important to be consistent with your routine, but if you feel as though your skin is sensitized or needs a break, stick to hydrating/calming products for a few days to reset
4. Add in a hydrating toner/serum:
A must have to nourish the skin and add deeper hydration beyond moisturizer
5. Avoid washing your face in the shower:
Our shower temperature often gets warmer in winter, which is not suitable for the skin on our face. Cleanse at the sink with lukewarm water
6. Have a hydrating mask on hand:
Perfect as a barrier in the shower, a weekly treatment, or even an overnight mask to really give your skin some love
7. Don’t forget your lips:
Keep a lip hydrator on hand for soft, hydrated lips
8. Use Cell Balm or Aquaphor:
A perfect barrier post skincare in areas that get extra dry. Typically under the eyes, lips, nose etc.
9. Treat yourself to a facial:
An incredible way to nourish and hydrate on a deeper level
