I made this Pretty Piece a few years ago, and going back through the original footage reminded me why I loved her so much.
The curls. The layers. The face framing. And of course — completely glueless. ✨
Looking at her with 2026 eyes, there are definitely a few things I’d do differently now. A softer hairline, updated construction and a little Pretty Pieces upgrade while keeping the look that made Tracy Tracy.
Because growth as a wig maker also means being able to look at your older work and say, “Yeah… I can make that even better now.” 🩷
So before I start pulling out bundles and a closure…

This one started as a U-part wig that I made and wore myself — but instead of retiring the hair, I decided to see what else I could turn her into.
I completely deconstructed the original unit, rebuilt her with a lace closure, lightened the hair to create a fresh canvas, and finished her with an entirely new custom color. ✨
Sometimes good hair doesn’t need to be thrown away. It just needs a new vision.

Sometimes the entire wig isn’t the problem.
Maybe the hair is still good but the lace has seen better days. Maybe you don’t love the cut anymore. Maybe the color needs a refresh. Or maybe you have good hair sitting on a unit that needs to be completely reconstructed.
Depending on the condition of the hair and unit, a Pretty Pieces revamp can include everything from refreshing and restyling to lace replacement, custom color or more extensive reconstruction. ✨
Every unit isn’t a candidate for every service, so wigs are assessed individually before more extensive work is accepted.
