Before the name became part of Atlanta, it started with a simple idea - build something bigger than one person.

The space evolved. The heart of Vis A Vis never did. Different times, same soul ✨✨

Chica. NellyBelly. Yes, those were real options…

NellyBelly was actually the nickname his mother’s nurses gave her. Good Lord, we’re glad those didn’t make the cut.

Vis A Vis. French for “face to face.” That’s what we’ve always been about.

25 Years of Vis A Vis • A Q&A with Jeffrey

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re sitting down with our founder Jeffrey to share the moments, the milestones, and the memories that have shaped Vis A Vis over the years. One question at a time, and the answers are as beautiful as the salon itself.

What would your 18 year old self say to everything you have accomplished today?

“He probably wouldn’t believe it. Like a lot of young people, I went through some challenging years early in my life. Let’s just say I didn’t always make the most responsible choices.
Thankfully, I had people who believed in me, offered guidance, and helped me find my footing when I needed it most.
Because of their support - and a lot of hard work along the way - I was able to build a life that Im incredibly proud of. If you had told that younger version of me where Id end up, I don’t think he would have believed you for a second.”
