Fresh off vacation, I went straight to surprise my student with her very own billboard!! 😳🔥 But… things didn’t exactly go as planned. 😩🤯

The original idea was to do a quick interview in front of the billboard and point up at it when it appeared. After 30 minutes of interviewing her, stalling, asking a ton of random a*z questions, 😂 and both of us sweating bullets, the billboard never showed up. 😩 I was crushed! I had the whole thing perfectly mapped out. So I finally had to break the news to her and explain the surprise. I guess there was some sort of technical glitch. 🥴

Thankfully, there was a second billboard just 6 minutes away, and it was up and running! So after we toured her beautiful salon suite, we drove over to the second location. Although it was no longer a surprise, she loved it. 🙏🏽😊🔥

I wanted to celebrate her because she truly deserves it. From her branding and marketing to the actual salon buildout, she put in that work! And you can tell. 💪🏽 Everything is polished and professional! She’s officially open and already at 70% capacity! 🚀 (Stay tuned for the tour video!)

I may ruffle some feathers with this one, but making $1 million isn’t always as much money as people THINK it is. 💰

People hear “I made a million dollars” and think you have a million dollars sitting in the bank ready to spend.

Nah.

There are taxes. Business expenses. Payroll. Investments. Life. And if you want to KEEP building wealth, you have to keep making smart decisions with that money.

Making the million is one thing.

Learning how to KEEP it, GROW it, and turn it into long-term wealth is a completely different game. 💯🔥

Yup I have a Master’s Degree. 🙌🏽🙏🏽 I actually applied to get a Doctorate degree then I realized I was only doing it to look cool and to say I did it.🙄😂 All the wrong reasons! I said nahh let me get out here in the real world and make something shake!

🎤 I used to be in a rap group with my identical twin called Twinn City. We opened for Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Rick Ross and more. We still have music up on streaming platforms.

In 2007 after saving up for a year I moved my entire family of 6 from Michigan to Atlanta. I drove the biggest U-Haul they have and I crashed into the side a building. 😫 Somehow I was never charged for the damage. 🥴Nonetheless, n*gga we made it! 😂It’s been up ever since!

I’m at that stage in life where I’m too young to be rushing things, but too old to be wasting time. 💯

I’m not forcing anything, but I’m definitely not playing around either.

I’m moving with intention, protecting my time, and being way more careful about what deserves my energy.

No rush. No wasted time. Just purpose. ❤️🔥

I LOVE celebrating every win, every milestone, and every bit of progress my mentees make. ❤️👏🏽

But I also remind them all the time: RUN YOUR OWN RACE.

Somebody else getting their keys, starting their buildout, or cutting their red ribbon doesn’t mean you’re behind.

Focus on YOUR journey and do what makes sense for YOU. 💯

We’re all going to get to the finish line. We just won’t all get there at the same time. 🏁❤️
