Life has been a little busy lately and I completely forgot the 13th of this month, Salon Jude turned 5! 🎉

✨ 5 YEARS OF SALON JUDE ✨

Five years ago, I took a leap of faith and opened Salon Jude. I had a dream, a love for doing hair, and no idea where it would take me. Looking back now, I’m just incredibly grateful. 🤍

Over these five years, I’ve learned that success doesn’t always look like working more, filling every available appointment (even though y’all mange to do it 🤣), growing a bigger business, or constantly chasing the next thing.

For a long time, I think I associated success with more. More clients. More hours. More appointments. More growth.

But as life has changed, so has my definition of success.

I’ve learned that sometimes success looks like slowing down. It looks like having the freedom to be there for my family, being present for my kids, having time for our home, and not feeling like I have to choose between the career I love and the life I love.

This past October, Salon Jude became a home salon, and that transition has been such a special part of this journey. 🏡🤍 It has given me the opportunity to continue doing what I love while creating more balance in my life and making room for the things that matter most.

I’m proud of the business I’ve built, but even more proud that I’ve built it in a way that allows me to be present.

Because at the end of the day, I don’t want to look back and measure my success by how many hours I worked or how full my books were. I want to measure it by the life I was able to build while doing something I love.

And I am so incredibly grateful that I get to do both. 🤍

To every person who has ever sat in my chair, supported me, referred a friend, encouraged me, or trusted me with their hair — thank you. You are a huge part of this five-year story, and I will never take that for granted.

Five years of Salon Jude. Five years of doing what I love. And five years of learning that success isn’t always about doing more — sometimes, it’s about making room for more of what truly matters. 🤍

As we head into a new school year and soccer season begins, I wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be making a few small changes to my salon hours.

Being present for my family is so important to me, and this season of life has reminded me how quickly these years go by. I’ve decided to adjust my schedule just a bit so I can be there for those special moments while continuing to give my clients my very best when I’m behind the chair.

One thing that will never change is how I care for my clients. I don’t double book appointments because I believe every person deserves my full attention during their visit. When you’re in my chair, my focus is on you—not juggling multiple clients at once. Because of that, my appointment availability is more limited, and the availability you see in my booking app is my only availability.

With a smaller schedule, pre-booking will be more important than ever. If you have a preferred day or time, I highly encourage booking your next appointment before you leave the salon or scheduling as far in advance as possible. This is the best way to make sure you get a spot that works for you.

I know these changes may not work for everyone’s schedule, and while it truly makes me sad, I completely understand if this means you need to find a stylist whose hours better fit your needs. I never want anyone to feel inconvenienced, and I’m so grateful for every client who has supported me, trusted me, and allowed me to be part of your lives over the years.

Thank you for your grace, understanding, and for allowing me to do what I love while also being present for the people who mean the most to me. Your support means more than I could ever put into words. ❤️
