Here’s what actually happens after a XERF treatment, and why the calendar matters as much as the appointment.

Day Of: Multifrequency monopolar radiofrequency heats the deeper layers of the skin. That heat causes existing collagen fibers to contract, and there’s usually some mild swelling as well — which is why most people walk out looking a little fresher and tighter the same day. That part is the preview, not the result.

First few weeks: This is where the real work begins. Your body reads controlled heat as a signal to repair. Fibroblasts — the cells that produce collagen and elastin — activate and start building. I call this collagen banking: you’re not just spending what you have, you’re depositing.
