October is getting pretty booked up!

Hi friends!

Not a great mental health update (but I’m working on it!)

Over the last probably three ish weeks, I have been noticing my anxiety and depression getting extremely bad.

The depression has been making it increasingly difficult to get out of bed. My brain is yelling at me to get out of bed but my body isn’t cooperating.

Then when I do get out of bed, I’m often struck with intense anxiety, my heart races, I feel like I’m gonna cry, and I want to curl up in a ball and disappear.

I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and we are going to increase the dose of my current SSRI, so fingers crossed that helps. However, it will take a while (a few weeks likely) to know if it helps.

Why am I telling you all of this?

It has impacted my work, and I like to be transparent with you all.

I have been late more regularly during this time than usual. I apologize for all the guests impacted by my tardiness. 🫶🏻

I don’t think I’ve rescheduled on any guests for this specific issue yet, but it has made me question going to work nearly every day because the anxiety is so bad.

I am also probably a bit less happy and excited when I am in the salon.

I am working on feeling better, but it might be slow going for a bit, so please bear with me.

I am also still dealing with back pain (I need to make another Dr. appointment for that soon as well), so I feel like with all of these things I am just moving a bit slower than usual.

So this is just a heads up and some insight into why! ❤️

I also think I am doing too much doom scrolling (likely contributing to the anxiety), so I am going to try to be on social media less also. If you need to contact me, the best way is via text!

I also think, for the time being, due to my anxiety at the moment, I will not be taking any new clients. This will just be until I get the anxiety more under control!

One year sober from alcohol tomorrow but we celebrated today ❤️

I am so blessed to have such amazing support from my loved ones 🫶🏻

Also a huge shout out to Sparkling Ice because that has helped me SOOO much in staying sober ❤️ (but I wish I was)
