This lovely client came in for some layers, and we brought that shape and movement to life! The finished look has beautiful dimension, softer movement, and layers that flow together so naturally.

And apparently, Mother Nature wanted to help show off the finished look, because the wind decided to make an appearance during our after pictures! 😂🍃

Had the pleasure of giving this lovely lady some layers and styling her hair with soft, bouncy curls. Getting curls to last on hair that usually refuses to cooperate made this one extra satisfying! ✂️

To everyone who has followed along with me on my journey so far—whether you’ve just recently started following or you’ve been here from the very beginning—

I want to take a moment to thank every single one of you for all of the amazing support, love, and encouragement you’ve shown me along the way. 🖤

As some of you may know, I am currently enrolled in cosmetology school, and I recently found out this week…

I AM TAKING MY FINAL EXAM FOR COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL ON THE 28TH OF THIS MONTH!!! 🥹🐦‍⬛✂️

I am SO excited!! It honestly doesn’t feel real that it’s already here. A year and a few months have somehow already passed since I started this journey, and now I’m standing at the very beginning of the next chapter.

Thank you all so much for every kind word, every bit of love, and every ounce of support you’ve given me. It means more than you know.

And may this not be the end of The Crow’s Nest…

But the beginning.

The beginning of a new and fresh start.

First: my final cosmetology school exam and graduation.
Next: my state board exams.
Then: officially becoming licensed and beginning my career in a salon.

And eventually…

The dream of one day owning and running my own salon, and finally bringing The Crow’s Nest to life—the dream I’ve been building toward since I first started this journey.

I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings us.

But I know one thing…

It’s going to be great. 🖤

Cleaned up the sides and neckline while maintaining length and movement through the top for a classic, polished finish.

We took her existing style and gave it a fresh, shorter shape with lots of movement and texture. I absolutely loved getting to work with her!

And the best part? She messaged me afterward to say she loves her hair and has already gotten so many compliments! 🥹❤️

Next up in my Crow’s Nest catch-up is this men’s cut!

I’ve been spending a lot of time practicing my fading and blending techniques, and I was so happy with how this one turned out. 🥹✂️

Getting that smooth transition from the shorter sides into the longer length on top is something I’ve really been working on, so seeing everything come together on this cut was such a good feeling.

It’s been really exciting to look back at my work and see how much I’m learning and improving with each client. Every haircut gives me something new to take away and build on. 🖤

I realized I’ve gotten a little behind on posting some of the hair I’ve been working on lately, so we’re gonna do a little catch-up! 😂🖤

First up is my girl Jasmine! 🥰

I got to straighten her hair and I absolutely LOVE seeing the difference between her natural texture and the finished look! Look at that LENGTH! 😍✨

There’s just something about getting everything nice and smooth and seeing all that hair come together. 🥹

I’m still learning, practicing, and getting more comfortable with every head of hair I get to work on, and I’m so thankful for everyone who lets me practice my craft and trusts me with their hair. 🖤
