It’s been a few Wednesdays since I’ve shared one of these from the salon chair, but this has really been on my heart lately… 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕚𝕤 𝕙𝕠𝕟𝕖𝕪 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕠𝕔𝕜.

Sometimes we look at a situation in our life and all we can see is the rock: something hard, dry, uncomfortable, or completely different from what we prayed for. But God has a way of bringing sweetness out of places we never expected it to come from.
Sometimes the rock doesn’t immediately move. The situation may still be hard. But right there in the middle of it, God gives us exactly what we need — strength we didn’t know we had, peace that doesn’t make sense, the right person at the right time, a lesson we needed to learn, or a blessing we never saw coming.
I think sometimes we’re so busy asking God to remove the rock that we almost miss the honey He’s bringing from it.

✨️a hard place is not necessarily a God-forsaken place. He is still there. He is still providing. He is still working.

So if you’re walking through something hard today, don’t lose hope. There may be more happening in that place than you can see yet!! 🤍

✨️🤍🫂And as always, I’m thankful that my salon chair gets to be more than a place for hair. Sometimes it becomes a place for 🤎 conversations, 💛encouragement, 🩷 laughter, 🩵prayer, and a little bit of honey in somebody’s hard season.

⛱️ ALOHA from Jellystone!! It is luau week here 🐻🌲The family & I — hubby and the grandkids — are having a blast! 💚 We’re making memories, eating entirely too much camping food, and I’m trying to enjoy every minute of doing absolutely NO HAIR! 😂✂️ The salon may be closed, but Gramma duty is in FULL swing! 🤪
So thankful for a few days away with my favorite people. God is good, family time is precious!! I will be back at it September 9th — hopefully rested, refreshed & ready to create some beautiful hair! 💚 Until then… ALOHA from the campground! ⛱️🐻

I’ve been thinking about BLESSINGS and RESPONSIBILITY ✨️
Sometimes we pray for God to bless something, open doors, provide opportunities, and make the vision He’s given us successful—but we forget that we still have a part to play in that!! When God began changing the way I saw my salon, I truly believed He was showing me what it could become. I believed He could bless it, use it as a ministry, and allow it to prosper. But along with that vision came a realization: I had to change too!!
I couldn’t ask God to bless my business while continuing to treat it casually and be lazy.
Blessing and obedience don’t mean passivity!! I had to change my perspective, become more intentional, make myself more available and flexible, put effort into promoting it, serve people well, and actually do the work required to help it grow. 🌱🌿
I’ve learned there’s a difference between trying to make something happen without God and working faithfully with what God has placed in my hands.
God’s blessing doesn’t always mean we sit back and watch Him do everything, especially in the business world. Sometimes the blessing is the opportunity!! Sometimes it’s the idea, the open door, the resources, the ability, or the vision—and then He says, “Now be faithful with it.” 🤍

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

I absolutely believe God has blessed me with this new perspective, and with my salon, but I also know He has been teaching me to steward that blessing well. And honestly, watching what happens when faith, obedience, and hard work come together has been pretty amazing. Don’t just pray for the blessing. Be willing to do the work that comes with it... if you do that, there is NO LIMIT to what you and God can accomplish!!
