Your lash appointment starts before you even get on the lash bed * Arriving with dirty lashes: Natural oils, skincare, makeup, and buildup can prevent the adhesive from bonding properly. Clean lashes help with better application and retention. * Drinking caffeine: Caffeine can cause your eyes or eyelids to flutter, making it harder to isolate and place the extensions accurately. * Heavy eye makeup: Eyeshadow and eyeliner can leave residue around the lash line and take extra time to remove before the service can begin. * Oil-based products around the eyes: Oils can leave a film on the natural lashes and interfere with the adhesive bond, which may lead to poor retention. * Wearing contacts: Your eyes stay closed for an extended period during the appointment, which can make contacts feel dry or uncomfortable. Removing them beforehand is usually more comfortable. * Wearing mascara: Mascara can be difficult to completely remove from the natural lashes. Touching, pulling, twisting, or playing with your lash extensions can: • Cause premature shedding • Damage your natural lashes • Create gaps in your lash line • Transfer oils and bacteria to your lashes • Reduce retention and make fills needed sooner • Increase the risk of irritation or infection The less you touch them, the longer they stay fluffy, full, and beautiful.
