After 20 years of treating acne, there’s one mistake I see more than anything else.

You can change your entire diet, balance your hormones perfectly, heal your gut for months and get expensive facials, but if you’re using pore clogging skin products or makeup, your skin will never clear up.

This happened to me for 15 years, and when I finally figured it out, my skin cleared up in only 8 weeks!

Now? I can’t tell you how often I see this same thing happen to clients, or to people whose stories I hear.

It is, hands down, the no 1 reason most people struggle with acne, and it will keep you stuck for a long time.

If you’ve tried everything and you’re still breaking out, it’s likely not your diet, hormones or gut.

Nobody talks about it, but acne starts in your pores.

The good news is, changing your clogging products is a very easy fix, and clear skin is so possible once you know this.

If your skin has been getting worse despite doing everything right, your supplement routine might be worth a second look.

Biotin, B12 and Irish Moss are everywhere right now, marketed as “glow” supplements. But for women prone to acne, all are known pore-clogging triggers.

The more you take them, the worse your skin gets.

That’s actually good news. A supplement trigger is one of the most identifiable triggers there is. Remove it, and your pores will quickly stop producing acne.

Acne is *always* caused by something specific you can find and fix.

Follow for more on finding your specific acne triggers. Which supplement are you currently taking?

Your acne is never random. I’ve never seen a breakout that can’t be traced back to something.

There are a few specific things that cause breakouts for everyone, I call these the universal acne triggers.

For all breakouts, there is at least one of these sneaking in somewhere.

Comment CLEAR and I’ll send you my free guide to figure out what’s causing your acne 💛

This is one of the most controversial topics about acne: is it genetic or not?

Acne is genetic, it’s scientifically proven. I talked about this recently in Forbes, and Forbes required every statement to be verified with scientific publications.

When I finally understood that acne was genetic - after 15 years of having acne - I was able to stop looking for a cure and start focusing on managing my acne instead.

I’ve had clear skin for years because of that one shift, even though I still have acne.

If you have acne, ask your parents if either of them had acne even in high school. And do your siblings have acne? Usually around 50% of the siblings will also have acne.

Once you understand that acne is genetic, you can learn how to easily keep it from forming and have clear skin, even while having acne ❤️

What do you think? Do you think acne is genetic?

I’ve helped 2000+ people clear their skin, and not one of them has ever gone on an elimination or acne diet.

I spent years trying to fix my acne with my diet, but once I stopped, my skin cleared up in 8 weeks and it’s been clear ever since.

Most of the clients I’ve worked with have quit dairy, sugar, gluten, caffeine, eggs, etc., and none of it has ever helped their skin.

With the right strategy, your skin should be clear in about 12 weeks

If you’ve had acne for longer than that, comment CLEAR and I’ll send you the link to the foods that actually cause acne and the ones that don’t ♥️
