Metal Fab I students have completed their first project! Students put their skills to work using a variety of layout tools, hand tools, and power tools to bring their projects to life. Great job getting hands-on experience and building those foundational skills! 👏💪

Our Ed Prep students put their creativity to work by designing games to take to East Amory’s AR fall festival.

Ed Prep and Culinary students were also able to go help facilitate the games during the festival.

One of our former Sports Medicine students, Lyla Criddle, volunteered her time Friday night to help provide athletic training coverage at the football game. Lyla is currently an Athletic Training student at ICC.

We are proud to see her continuing her education, gaining hands-on experience, & giving back to the program that helped spark her interest in the field of Sports Medicine.

We love seeing our students become the professionals they dreamed of becoming!

🚤 Metal Fab 2 had the opportunity to tour Avid Boats today! Our students got a firsthand look at the boat manufacturing process and how the skills they’re learning in the classroom are put to work in the industry. 🛠️⚙️

🔧 Metal Fab 1 is putting their skills to work! Our students are working on their first hand-tools project using hacksaws, files, and squares. They’re learning the fundamentals of measuring, cutting, and shaping metal while gaining valuable hands-on experience! 🛠️⚙️

Our Ed Prep students practiced reading aloud The Man Who Walked Between the Towers by Mordicai Gerstein. After reading, they connected the story to a hands-on STEM challenge!
Students worked together to complete a balancing pencil challenge, using creativity, problem-solving, communication, and perseverance to see how many pencils they could successfully balance. ✏️⚖️

🧤 Hands-on learning in Health Science! Our students practiced putting on and removing sterile gloves as part of our infection control unit. 🩺❤️

Metal Fabrication 2 students put their skills to work as they completed their custom bottle openers!

Using their lathe and milling machine skills, students also applied their math knowledge to calculate the precise degrees of taper needed to complete their projects.
