💧🩸 LYMPHIES… WHERE DOES YOUR LYMPH ACTUALLY GO?
Here’s something surprisingly few people are ever taught:
Your lymph doesn’t end at your lymph nodes.
It eventually returns to your BLOODSTREAM. 🤯
Yes. Your lymphatic and cardiovascular systems literally reconnect.
Let’s follow one little drop on its journey home. 💧🏡
🌿 STEP 1: IT STARTS BETWEEN YOUR CELLS
Your blood capillaries continuously exchange fluid with the tissues around them.
Much of that fluid returns directly to the blood circulation.
But some remains in the spaces surrounding your cells as interstitial fluid.
And this is where the lymphatic system steps in.
💧 STEP 2: IT ENTERS LYMPHATIC CAPILLARIES
Excess interstitial fluid, along with proteins and other substances, can enter tiny initial lymphatic capillaries.
Once that fluid enters the lymphatic system…
We call it LYMPH. 💚
➡️ STEP 3: NOW THE JOURNEY BEGINS
Lymph travels from tiny lymphatic capillaries into progressively larger collecting lymphatic vessels.
Remember our previous lesson about those tiny one-way doors? 🚪
Those one-way valves, together with contractions of collecting lymphatic vessels and external forces such as muscle movement and breathing, help support lymph transport.
🛡️ STEP 4: LYMPH PASSES THROUGH LYMPH NODES
And no…
Your lymph nodes are NOT little rubbish bins where lymph goes to disappear. 😂
Lymph passes through lymph nodes where it is filtered and exposed to immune surveillance.
Lymph nodes contain specialised immune cells that can recognise and respond to potentially harmful material.
Then the lymph LEAVES the node…
…and continues travelling.
🌿 STEP 5: SMALLER PATHWAYS BECOME BIGGER ONES
Lymphatic vessels ultimately feed into larger lymphatic trunks.
These trunks drain major regions of the body and direct lymph toward its final return to the venous circulation.
And now we meet the superstar of tonight’s lesson…
💚 THE THORACIC DUCT
The thoracic duct is the largest lymphatic vessel in the body.
It receives lymph from most of the body, including:
🦵 Both lower limbs
🌿 Pelvis
🌿 Abdomen
🩷 Left side of the chest
💪 Left upper limb
🧠 Left side of the head and neck
It travels upward through the body…
all the way toward the base of the neck.
And then something AMAZING happens.
💧 ➡️ 🩸
LYMPH MEETS BLOOD AGAIN.
The thoracic duct empties near the junction of the left internal jugular vein and left subclavian vein, an area called the left venous angle.
Lymph from the right upper quadrant of the body also returns to the venous circulation on the right side, although the exact arrangement of the lymphatic trunks and ducts can vary between people.
And once lymph enters the venous circulation…
✨ its fluid and contents rejoin the circulating blood.
Think about that for a second.
Something that started as fluid leaving your blood capillaries…
travelled through your tissues…
entered tiny lymphatic capillaries…
became lymph…
travelled through vessels…
passed through lymph nodes…
entered larger lymphatic pathways…
and eventually…
🩸 RETURNED TO THE BLOODSTREAM.
Your lymphatic system isn’t a mysterious “detox pipe.”
It is an extraordinary part of your body’s fluid-balance, transport and immune systems, working continuously alongside your cardiovascular system.
And THIS is why I love teaching you about lymph.
The deeper you look…
the more incredible the human body becomes. 🥹💚
👇 LYMPHIE QUESTION!
Be honest…
Before tonight, where did you think lymph went AFTER it passed through your lymph nodes? 😂💧
I want to hear your answers!

One of the greatest ways you can love someone is to pray for them.
Because sometimes they’re fighting battles they’ll never tell you about.
Carrying pain they don’t know how to explain.
Smiling while barely holding it together.
Facing things you couldn’t fix even if you tried.
You may not have the right words.
You may not be able to change their circumstances.
You may not even know exactly what they need.
But God does.
So pray for your husband.
Pray for your children.
Pray for your friends.
Pray for the person who seems distant.
Pray for the one God suddenly puts on your heart.
Prayer can reach the places your hands cannot. 🤍
Sometimes loving someone looks less like saying, “Let me fix this,” and more like saying, “God, I’m placing them in Your hands.” 🙏🏼

Imagine getting to Heaven one day and someone walks up to you and says,
“I’m here because you weren’t afraid to tell me about Jesus.”
Because of that post you almost didn’t share.
That conversation you thought they weren’t listening to.
That prayer you prayed with someone who was hurting.
That testimony you were scared to tell because you knew people might judge you.
What if the seed you planted was bigger than you ever realized?
You may never see the impact of your obedience on this side of Heaven.
Someone could scroll past your post and never like it, but remember it on their darkest night.
Someone could hear your testimony and never tell you that it gave them hope.
Someone could watch the way you love Jesus and quietly start wondering if maybe He could love them too.
Never be ashamed to talk about what Jesus has done for you.
You don’t need a platform.
You don’t need perfect words.
You don’t need to know the entire Bible.
Just tell people how He found you.
How He changed you.
How He carried you when you couldn’t carry yourself.
Because one day, you might finally meet the people who were impacted by the seeds you didn’t even know you planted.
And imagine hearing…
“Thank you for telling me about Jesus.” 🤍😭
