I’m actually extremely proud of myself.

And not in some “look how far I’ve come 🥹” way….

I just genuinely like the woman I am now.

I like my life.
I like how I show up.
I like how I handle hard s**t.
I trust myself more than I ever have.

And weirdly enough, liking where I am hasn’t made me want less.

Quite the opposite.

I want to build more.
Learn more.
Lead better.
Get stronger.
Make more memories.
Help more people.
See what else I’m capable of.

Not because where I am isn’t enough.

Because I finally built a version of myself I trust with more.

So no, I’m not slowing down because I finally “found myself.”

I found her.

Now we’ve got s**t to do. 🫡

10/04/2026

I mean… yes. I’m intense

Yes, I have wildly high expectations of myself.

And yes, I’ve apparently never learned how to do anything at 60%. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But I’m not motivated because I’m trying to outrun anyone else.

I’m motivated because life damn near knocked me flat a couple times…..

And when I got back up, I decided I wasn’t wasting the life I fought hard to rebuild.

I know what it feels like to lose myself.

And I know what it took to find her again.

So yeah. I’m motivated AF.

I’ve got a life I actually want to live.
People I want to impact. Like truly.
Things I still want to build.
A whole lot of dreams left in me.

And quite frankly, I’ve got things to do so let’s roll

09/30/2026

I want to win. Big.
I’m not going to pretend I don’t.

But somewhere along the way of this wild journey, my definition of winning changed.

It stopped being about how much I could accomplish, build, earn, or prove….

Now I look around at the people beside me and think well,
how much bigger can we make this for all of us?!

More confidence.
More opportunity.
More freedom.
More belief in what they’re capable of. That they never even thought possible.

I still have a ridiculous amount of ambition in me.
I just never wanted to be the only one who benefits from it.

If I’m going up, I’m bringing people with me. 🦊

I don’t quit.

I do, however, require a brief processing period. 😂

There was a version of me who thought love was supposed to hurt a little.

That being anxious was normal.
That walking on eggshells was normal.
That constantly trying to keep the peace was just part of being a good wife.

I didn’t realize how much of myself I had made smaller just to survive the life I was in.

And then I had to do the really hard part.

Leave.
Heal.
Rebuild.
Learn who the hell Jess was again.
And eventually, learn that love didn’t have to feel like something I needed to survive.

Now I get to do life with a man who feels like home.

Not because our life is perfect.
Not because we never disagree or have hard days.

But because I am safe being fully me here.

Loud. Driven. Emotional. Ridiculous. Ambitious. Soft. Strong. A lot. 😂
All of it.

Aaron didn’t save me.
I saved me.

But there is something incredibly beautiful about doing all that work… and then finding someone who looks at the woman you fought so hard to become and says,

Yep. Her. I love her.

And maybe that’s what gets me the most.

Charlie gets to watch this kind of love, too.

She gets to grow up knowing love can feel safe.
Love can be friendship.
Love can make room for you instead of asking you to disappear inside of it.

I know where I’ve been.

Which is exactly why I’ll never stop being grateful for where I am. ❤️

Turns out the older I get, the less interested I am in being digestible.

Wear the weird pants.
Take up the space.
Have the opinion.
Change your mind.
Build the business differently.
Lift the heavy s**t.
Say no without writing a dissertation about why.
Be a little much.

Because I spent enough years making decisions based on how they might be received.

And respectfully…

that sounds absolutely exhausting now. 😂

I’m not everyone’s cup of tea but I also don’t want to be.

Kinda chic to not care what others think.
10/10. Highly recommend.

Good extension work isn’t just about hiding the beads or the wefts…
It’s about understanding the entire picture.

Where the natural density lives.
Where it doesn’t.
How much weight the hair can actually support.
Where your rows need to live for movement and coverage.
How the cut, color + extension placement all have to work together.

Because you can execute a technically “correct” install and still end up with extensions that look like… extensions.

The artistry is in learning to look at the head in front of you and make decisions instead of simply following a map.

That’s the part I care about teaching.

Not just where to put the row.
But why you’re putting it there.

Not just how to blend.
But how to recognize what’s keeping something from blending.

Not just memorizing the method but actually learning how to think through the work.

That’s what I’m constantly training inside WHITEFOX, and it’s the kind of education I want to bring more of to other stylists, too.

Because technique can be taught.

But when you teach a stylist how to see differently?

That’s when their work starts changing. 👏🏼

I don’t want to build a team of mini Jesses.

Dear goodness, one of me is plenty. 😂

I want to build a team of women who know exactly who they are.

Yes, there is a WHITEFOX standard.
There is a WHITEFOX experience.
There are systems, expectations, education and a culture we all protect.

But individuality? I want MORE of that s**t.

I don’t want every stylist creating the same hair, posting the same content, talking the same way or trying to attract the exact same guest.

I want each of my gals figuring out:

What kind of hair do I freaking LOVE doing?
What do I want to become insanely good at?
Who are the guests I naturally connect with?
What parts of me make someone say, “Yep. That’s my stylist.”

Because our WHITEFOX dream guest isn’t one specific woman with one specific hair goal.

She’s someone who values her hair.
Her time.
The experience.
Education.
Expertise.
And having a stylist who actually gives a damn.

And within that, there is so much room for my team to build careers that actually feel like theirs.

My job as their leader isn’t to make them more like me.

It’s to give them the tools, standards, opportunities and confidence to become more of themselves.

And then create a place big enough for all of us to grow inside of it.

That part of leadership?

What a freaking privilege. ♥️

There are seasons where you’re so busy building the life you want that you forget to look around and realize…

oh s**t. I’m in it.

The husband I prayed for.
The little girl who owns my whole heart.
A home that feels safe.
A business I’m ridiculously proud of.
A team I trust.
A body I’ve learned to respect instead of constantly fight.
A life with room for big goals AND actual living.

Not perfect.

Not always easy.

And definitely not without some plot twists I could’ve definitely done without. 😂

But this version of my life?

She was once just a picture in my head.

And somewhere between surviving, rebuilding, working my ass off, healing, choosing differently, and refusing to settle for a life that didn’t feel like mine…

I became the woman who gets to live it.

That’ll humble the s**t out of you. 🤎
