Our little warrior princess is here 🥹💖 born at 24 weeks 6 days gestation.
She is doing so well and is a great size for her age, but we have a very long road in the NICU ahead of us as she is expected to stay until her original due date of January 1, 2027.
We felt all of your prayers these last few weeks and are so so thankful, but we do ask you continue to pray for our sweet baby girl to stay healthy and strong 🥹💖🙏

P.S Sabrina is early but she DOES have some dark wavy hair showing 🥹🥹💖

Hey everyone 💖 I woke up this morning and it was in my heart to share with you a little more of what’s going on. You’ve all been so excited and supportive and prayerful over baby girl and my pregnancy journey I think you all deserve a little more info as to what’s going on 💖

On Thursday August 20th I went in for my scheduled anatomy scan and baby appt. Ultrasound went good but baby girl was nice and cozy so we got scheduled two weeks later to come back for more pictures (keep this in the back of your mind). After the appointment we went to our regular baby appt with my OB. I had some questions and concerns for her so she checked me out just to make sure everything looks normal, well I was 2cm dilated and she could see the amniotic sac. So straight to the main hospital we went and we were booked for an emergency cerclage (sewing shut of the cervix) the next morning, Friday August 21. Procedure went great, baby girl was doing great and we were released that afternoon. I stayed home majority of that following week to let the stitch properly heal, let alone my mental health after that whirlwind.
Fast forward to to Sept 3, I had to go back to ultrasound to hopefully get the rest of baby girls pictures we needed. They also wanted to take a peek at the cerclage to make sure that looked ok. Well, it did not. The cerclage failed and my cervix were back open and my water bag was at my cervical opening. So back to the hospital i go for a hot date of speculum checks, blood draws and labs. THANKFULLY baby girl is perfectly healthy and happy and her favorite game was “swim away from the monitor like a game of hide and seek” 🥹🤦🏼‍♀️ but SHE IS DOING FANTASTIC 🙏🙏🙏
I, myself am also doing just fine! No infection or anything on my end, this is happening simply because I have “cervical insufficiency”. In other words my cervix is simply being very lazy. As of today, Sunday September 6th, I am 23 weeks and 2 days pregnant, baby girl needs to stay in and bake. Every day, Every week is crucial for her. We are praying and hoping that with rest and modified best rest i can hold off an early labor, but she will come early in some sense of the matter. With all that said I was given orders from the dr, “ you’re done doing hair for a while and you need to stay in Sioux Falls close to the hospital”. So for the next two weeks, God willing I don’t go into labor I will be in Sioux Falls, then Sept 18th I will be evaluated by the Drs and if all looks the same I might be able to rest from home as I would be 25 weeks and that is a HUGE goal for baby girls journey. Everyday she stays in is a blessing and Dakota and I are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and healthy. We welcome all the love and prayers for us and most importantly our baby girl. We love you all

I wanted to share a little update with all of my wonderful clients. 💕

For now, I’ll be stepping away from work and taking some time to rest while this sweet baby keeps growing.

This wasn’t necessarily the plan I had in mind, but right now the most important thing is doing what’s best for my health and baby’s health. I’m so grateful for your understanding, patience and support during this time.

Thank you for trusting me, supporting my business and cheering our little family on. It means more than you know. 🤍

For any appointment or service needs while I’m away, please contact the girls at Hometown Roots at 605-670-6027.

I’ll be stepping away from Messenger as well so I can fully focus on resting and my growing family. Thank you so much for understanding. 🤍
