On August 3, 1995, Rita Di Mura-Smarro opened the doors to Metamorphose Salon and Spa with the support of her fiancé (now husband) Dave, her father Tony, her brother Tony and her in laws Joyce and Terry. What started as a dream built on family and hard work has grown into one of the most loved salons in the Capital Region.

With over 39 years behind the chair, Rita has built more than a business. She’s built a legacy.

Metamorphose has been recognized as Best Salon in the Capital Region in 2023, Runner-Up in 2025, and a Top 5 Salon in 2026. It is known for its artistry, modern style, and personal approach to every guest.
