Solasta Holistic Esthetics offers plant-based facials curated to nourish the skin, calm the nervous system, and honor your natural beauty.
I recently had an esthetician student shadow me during a model facial.
She asked so many insightful questions that I was honored to answer.
I'm not a gate keeper. If I know it, learned it, see it, I'm always open to sharing.
Empowering other estheticians, especially newer estheticians is such a passion of mine.
I remember how lost and overwhelmed I was in those early days. I read so many books (and still do), discussed all things skin with Tessa Barwick || Esthetician 🌼 and Amanda Broome and came to Instagram to grow my knowledge as much as possible.
I am proud of where I am but I am always willing to learn more and freely pass on the knowledge I've gained.
Thank you to this student for the opportunity to share and also to all of the estheticians who have guided me with their knowledge.

When I started this business, I had no idea where it would take me. I just knew I was a huge skin nerd and I loved giving people a facial that was also an experience.
Last night, we got to celebrate Solasta being named Favorite in Aiken’s Best for Aesthetics, and standing there, all I could think about was every single person who helped me get here.
My sister, Tessa — getting to build this alongside you and watch you step into this with me is something I’ll never take for granted.
Amanda — you couldn’t be there with us last night, but you are absolutely part of this. I’m so grateful that you chose to be part of this huge dream of mine.
My husband, Chris — you have lived every version of this business with me. The late nights, the early mornings, the stress, the tears, the celebrations, the wild ideas, and all the times I’ve said, “Okay, hear me out…” 😂 Thank you for believing in me through every single version of it.
My dad drove all the way from Charleston just to be there. Dad, I hope you know how much it meant to look out and see you there celebrating something I’ve poured so much of myself into.
And my clients.

You have trusted me with your skin, your stories, your insecurities, your celebrations, your grief, your lives. You’ve laid on my table and allowed me to care for you. You’ve supported this business, told your friends about us, shared my posts, cheered me on, and turned what was once just my dream into a place filled with people I genuinely love.
Every single vote had a person behind it who took a few minutes out of their day and said, “I believe this place deserves to be here.”

A fun GIVEAWAY post is going up today!
Our third year at the HolisticWellnessFair in📍Aiken, SC went so well.
In previous years, we used the event at a place to sell skincare & book appointments but this year our goal was a bit different.
Building Solasta has always been about connection and about letting people feel seen and valued so that is what we wanted to bring to this year's event.
Thank you to every person who stopped by, spoke with us, tried out our hydrosol bar and gave us the space to chat about our love of holistic skincare.
We can't wait to see you next year. 💕

What a beautiful day today was at the Holistic Wellness Fair.
I cannot count how many of my beautiful clients were here with us today. Thank you so much to everyone who came by and who listened to us go on (and on) about skincare.
And thank you to my team, Amanda Broome and Tessa Barwick || Esthetician 🌼. I am so incredibly grateful to have you both with me. You both kicked ass today and I am proud. 💕
We are already planning how we can make next year even better!

Before you worry about what to post, figure out WHY you are posting.
Do you want to build community? Convert content into clients? Educate? Monetize? Or do you just genuinely love creating?
There is no wrong answer here. However, your answer changes the type of content you could be making.
If your goal is to gain clients then you need to be creating content for your clients.
If you want to monetize, you'll have to ask yourself how to gain attention from a larger audience.
If your goal is simply to have fun, post the fun stuff!
Get clear on your goals first, THEN post. 😁
I'm so grateful that one of my favorite people is not only my sister but also a licensed esthetician who can give me live and in person feedback.
Creating content requires that you get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
People are going to see you and they are going to form opinions about you. They might misunderstand you or they may think you are annoying. POST ANYWAY.
You might feel cringe. POST ANYWAY.
Getting comfortable talking to the camera and posting on social media has transformed my business. I am forever grateful for the opportunities that have come from this.
