Одного дня у теплу й затишну нору кроликів заповзла змія.
Кролики завмерли від страху.
Вони притиснулися до стінок і не знали, що робити. Ніколи раніше в їхньому домі не було такого гостя.
Але змія заговорила тихим, лагідним голосом:
“Не бійтеся мене… Я просто дуже самотня. У мене немає друзів. Я лише хочу трохи тепла. Я знаю багато давніх історій і можу поділитися з вами мудрістю”.
Кролики не довіряли їй.
Але вирішили послухати.
Її голос був м’яким.
Її слова — красивими.
Її історії — захопливими.
Вона говорила так глибоко, ніби була мудрецем.
А потім раптом вкусила одного з кроликів.
І зникла.
Наступного вечора змія повернулася.
“Будь ласка, не проганяйте мене, — благала вона. — Ви ж знаєте, я змія. Мені важко не кусатися. Але я стараюся. Хіба друзі не приймають недоліки одне одного?”

Але цього разу ніхто не вийшов.
Ніхто не відчинив.
Ніхто більше не плутав гарні слова з безпекою.
Тоді змія розлютилася й прошипіла:
“У цьому світі немає місця для тих, хто мислить глибоко!”
І зникла в темряві.
Але кролики вже зрозуміли головне.
Іноді найнебезпечніші істоти приходять не з криком, а з ніжним голосом.
Вони говорять про самотність, біль, мудрість і складну душу.
Вони сиплють красивими цитатами.
Вони змушують тебе жаліти їх.
А потім ранять знову.
І знову.
І знову.
Запам’ятайте: якщо хтось постійно завдає вам болю, навіть після вибачень, навіть після обіцянок, навіть якщо його слова звучать дуже щиро — ви не зобов’язані знову відчиняти йому своє серце.
