As we celebrate International Teachers Day on Monday a short Message from me to
my beloved staff.❤️
On this Teacher’s Day Weekend , I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the hardworking teachers and carer of Sarah’s Preparatory School. Thank you for your devotion, dedication, patience and, most importantly, the genuine love you give to our children every day. Teaching young children is much more than a profession it requires compassion, sacrifice, understanding and a sincere desire to help every child become the very best they can be. I am truly grateful for the important role each of you plays in making our school a loving and nurturing place.
Today, I also take a moment to celebrate my own 35 year journey as an educator. For 35 years, I have had the privilege of teaching, guiding, nurturing and loving other people’s children as though they were my own. I have always tried to give every child who entered my school the best possible education, guidance, encouragement and love I could provide. Seeing generations of children grow, succeed and move forward in life has been one of my greatest rewards.
I am proud of the teacher and principal I have become, proud of the many lives I have touched, and grateful that after 35 years, my love for educating children remains at the heart of everything I do.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Happy Teacher’s Day to my wonderful staff and to me! 💐📚

MEDIA RELEASE
Freeport Man Gets Bail After Being Charged with Fraud
A Freeport man was granted bail with surety in the sum of $120,000 by a Justice of the Peace, after he was charged with Obtaining Goods valued at $19,500 by False Pretences, this week.
KIMRAJ NANDLAL, was charged with the offence when he appeared before JP Carl Dattoo, on Wednesday 19th August, 2026.
He is expected to appear before a Master of the High Court on Friday 21st August, 2026.
Reports indicate that on July 3rd, 2025, a man allegedly obtained glass products and other materials valued at $19,500 from a business owned by a Sangre Grande victim.
It is alleged that the suspect represented to the victim that payment for the goods would be made by way of an online bank transfer.
Based on this representation, the suspect subsequently arranged for a representative to collect the goods.
The purported online payment was never received. The suspect then provided a post-dated cheque in settlement of the outstanding amount. The cheque was accepted by the victim and deposited. However, it was returned as dishonoured.
All attempts by the victim to recover the payment, proved unsuccessful.
The matter was subsequently reported to the Fraud Squad (East) Office, and an investigation commenced by Cpl (Ag.) Thomas.
On August 17th, 2026, a coordinated, intelligence-led operation was conducted under the direction of Snr. Supt. Jackman, W/Supt. Theodore-Persad, and ASP Thomas and under the supervision of Insp. Bachoo and Cpl Liverpool.
During the exercise, officers proceeded to the Central Division, where they arrested a male suspect at a Freeport address.
Nandlal was charged with the offence by Cpl (Ag.) Thomas on August 18th, 2026, following consultation with Snr. Supt. Jackman, W/Supt. Theodore-Persad, ASP Thomas, Insp. Bachoo and Legal Officer, Sgt. Bassarath.
