2. Do implants cause problems during ultrasound and MRI scans?
• No, the presence of an implant does not negatively affect any radiological imaging method.
3. How does breast cancer screening continue?
• Screenings begin with a breast ultrasound. If suspicious findings are observed during ultrasound, a mammogram
is recommended, and if suspicion persists, a breast MRI is advised.
4. Do implants make breast examination more difficult?
• It does not make it difficult. On the contrary, studies show that it allows for the detection of a potential mass at an
earlier stage.
5. How long should follow-up checks continue?
• For both documentation purposes and close monitoring, patients are seen once a month for the first year, followed
by visits at less frequent intervals.
