BCT GROUP A: Western Bahr el-Ghazal Derby Set to Light Up the Tournament

Western Bahr el-Ghazal's representatives, Wau County and Raja County, have been drawn together in Group A of the upcoming Bahr el-Ghazal Counties Tournament (BCT), alongside Yirol East and Aweil East.

Both counties were eliminated in the early stages of the previous tournament and will be hoping for a better campaign this year. However, preparations have been slowed by financial constraints. With the tournament set to kick off on 8 August, Wau County is yet to call up its players for training as the team struggles to secure funds for basic preparations.

The financial challenge is not limited to Wau. Raja County and Jur River County are also facing similar difficulties, with the three Western Bahr el-Ghazal teams relying largely on support from well-wishers to finance their participation.
